Matterport price target lowered to $10 from $38 at Wedbush 07:16 MTTR Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives lowered the firm's price target on Matterport to $10 from $38 to reflect near-term model challenges and a lower multiple, while keeping an Outperform rating on the shares. The analyst notes Matterport delivered a top-line revenue beat and noted significant growth in both subscribers and spaces under management compared to previous years. Despite growth seen throughout this quarter, the Street will ultimately be focused on Q1 and full year 2022 guidance this quarter which was very underwhelming compared to the Street as the company expects to face strong supply chain headwinds coupled with an ongoing subscription model transition, Ives add... APPS-- Becoming A Special Situation--- Roth says Google news creates more unwarranted noise around Digital Turbine 14:40 APPS, GOOG, GOOGL, AAPL, FB Roth Capital analyst Darren Aftahi notes that Google (GOOGL) has announced Privacy Sandbox, which is a multi-year initiative with the goal to build more private advertising solutions. Google called out that these solutions will "limit sharing of user data with third parties and operate without cross-app identifiers, including advertising ID." Google blog news has shares of Digital Turbine (APPS) down double-digit percentage, the analyst points out. He thinks the initial reaction by investors is that this is "deja vu" of the Apple (AAPL) IDFA news and subsequent impact that Meta (FB) and others saw. Given Digital Turbine's relationship with Google, which Aftahi believes is still a very strong one, he can see how investors can initially conclude what they have, but thinks this is not the case. His view is that Google is one data source amongst many. But most importantly, Digital Turbine has its own ID, which is tied to carrier and OEM privacy policies, not Google's, he adds. Aftahi has a Buy rating and a price target of $83 on Digital Turbine's shares.
The Financial Stability Board is shaking up its stance on cryptos, which are "evolving and could reach a point where they represent a threat to global financial stability." That's due to their "scale, structural vulnerabilities and increasing interconnectedness with the traditional financial system," which vary across jurisdictions and may not be in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The FSB also cited wider public policy concerns, like "low levels of investor and consumer understanding of crypto, money laundering, cyber-crime and ransomware."BlockFi to pay $100M in penalties to U.S. regulators over crypto lending product. Flashback:The report is a big change from its previous stance published in 2018, which concluded that crypto did not "pose a material risk to global financial stability." Meanwhile, the monthly average price of an avocado has already climbed about 40% since January 2021, and consumers can now expect to pay about $1.36 per avocado, according to Zhengfei Guan, a food and resource economics professor at the University of Florida. If the suspension lasts more than two weeks, it can also weigh on the profit margins of companies that are highly dependent on the fruit as their stock runs out. Truist analyst Jake Bartlett estimates that avocados account for 5%-10% of Chipotle's(NYSE:CMG)cost of goods sold and about 2% of El Pollo Loco's(NASDAQ:LOCO). Flashback: New growers are stepping into the void. Former financier stonedinvestor has reportedly purchased an Avocado farm in S. Africa & has a interest in another in Kenya.
