GMDA would have been savant of me if i called the bottom at 2 something in december rather than calling it at $4 in november. but. anyway. that stock is risky and the market loves kicking it, but it has a bajillioin dollars room to grow still if the market starts trusting it. but why wasn't it called as a gummie this morning stoney! we got the headline news on it before market opened and the thing opened flat. Gamida Cell Ltd 3.64 USD+0.56 (17.96%)today
The randomness of it all... the Bio sector is so piss poor that if you can have a winner any winner you have outperformed big time. I'm not up to date on the GMDA story but I did note that I traded it two threads ago at a much higher price. That would lead me to believe that if everything works out you will make 200-300%.
god. i don't even remember my price on it. i think i averaged down to $6 at some point. at some point i made myself stop buying more. i'm so in the red, but i've learned a lot about trading bio stocks. i'd be tickled with break even. as for IOVA, there was a period where i was swing trading that and i did a fair bit of reading on it. i might have typed up my notes here? it was either that or xair. i'll look. as i learned from gmda, i would need to see if we are close to events happening before buying any. also, the FDA is so delayed right now
just pulled this from July on our other thread. I wonder how they have kept up with their timelines since then: "IOVA. i looked into this on june 6, and at that time it seemed the melonoma (followed by cervical cancer) BLA's were shifted to the first half of 2022. a smaller event would be the release of the full cohort 4 data of the melanoma which they have held back as they deal with the FDA. Second quarter financial results conference call scheduled for Thursday, August 5, and maybe we can get revised dates then. Chardin has them as a buy with target of $51."
Stoney!!!!! Your beloved SONOS reports tonight, and one of our classics... the I-Robot. Not to be confused with the Robo Did we talk about WTS (Watts Water Tech)---- the water company? $155
Any other stock I would say yes, but I think they'll be looking at this thing as a re-opening play. Look at the airlines, DAL is up almost 13% in 2 weeks. The forward PE is 35. They do have a substantial amount of debt, and by any metric, it is pricey. You might be right, but it's also a Dow member, and they might use it to let a little air out of some of the others. A 10% up move will be good for about 90 Dow points tomorrow. They could sell off some MSFT and still keep the index up. edit.... disney's forward pe is 35 if that wasn't clear
Thanks for the nice words Stoney, you didn't have to use all caps though. Told ya Disney would go up. I see Twilio hit $261 in the after-hours lol. Go figure. It's a good stock. Wait till ZI reports. I see it's back up to $56. Imagine that. TWLO==> $241 (+$39) Thanks again for the kind words Stoney.
