Snowing. Trapped in the city. Very cold. Was supposed to go to Ct to check on house. Not sure I'm getting out of here. 45 MPH gusts. My son is in Hunter. God I'm hoping that's in NY State. It's like 2 3/4 hours away from here. This is the farthest we have ever been separated and the first time he has gone anywhere on his own. I feel a great emotional sadness tinged with happiness. My boy is getting ready to leave mom and me, I'm not sure I'm mentally prepared for that. In all my inner darkest places, life is made better by witnessing this thriving young man. Protecting him. Making sure he doesn't walk into a bad situation, guiding... having some control. It is so very hard to let go. I wish I could spend every day with it ending with my son sleeping in his room. I do see that for him it gets old, he wants new experiences and he should have them. Me? I'm not sure I can take it.

Tesla 'a better buy' than GM or Ford, Barron's says 10:29 TSLA, GM, F Tesla (TSLA) shares got hammered this past week after the company reported better-than-expected fourth quarter earnings, with the reaction to record profits and an earnings beat leaving investors as well as analysts dazed and confused, Al Root writes in this week's edition of Barron's. It's the third-worst reaction to any Tesla quarter over the past 11 years, but the other two made more sense because portions of the reported results missed analyst expectations, the author notes. This coming week brings earnings reports from Ford (F) and General Motors (GM), and investors will be watching for how they navigate the chip shortages. Tesla stock, surprisingly, looks like the best bet over the coming months, as chip supplies and 2022 outlooks work themselves out, Root argues. While Tesla shares now trade for about 83 times estimated 2022 earnings - a high multiple -, it also grows the fastest of the bunch by a long shot, the publication adds.
11.4 inches. Ct slammed by storm that was supposed to be coastal... So far Hunter looks to have avoided a direct hit. NYC is tough to get around. Wind is occasionally severe.

Rent the Runway(NASDAQ:RENT)is called a sleeper pick in the retail sector by KeyBanc Capital Markets. KeyBanc analyst EdwardYruma says Rent the Runway will stand out as a clear winner when the economy is fully reopened. Yruma calls the pullback a perfect buying opportunity for investors ahead of the company's earnings report, which is expected out in February. The investing thesis on RENT is pretty simple: Consumers are in need of a wardrobe refresh. "With continued subscriber growth, we think RENT has built out the proper infrastructure to see significant leverage in the model... We think RENT’s consumer value proposition is incredibly attractive," notes Yruma. Barclays is also positive on Rent the Runway (RENT) with an Overweight rating on the stock as it points to the huge subscriber opportunity for the company and strong business moat. Rent the Runway is down 75% from its IPO pricing level and not far off from its low mark of $4.37. Short interest on RENT stands at 17.7% of total float, which could add some volatility to the mix.
