Stoney!!!!! Covered apple just north of $161. Too soon as usual. I think it'll be safe to get back in the water tomorrow morning. The nasdaq looked like it really wanted to go up there at the end. There was a lot of resistance at 13,500 ish, but the Fed is done, TSLA's report was acceptable, it'll get moved all around tomorrow, but I don't think it'll tank the indexes even if it drops below $850, everything else will be green and hold things up. Apple is tomorrow night, but even with a bad report, it won't drop too much. Stupid stock. Everybody makes such a big deal about it, I have no idea why. It's only up 11% for the last 52 weeks. Might as well buy and hold an etf, I fail to see its charm. Hell even Smuckers is up 15% for the last 52 weeks, and it fell back to $137 this week. So while I reserve the right to change my mind before tomorrows open, it looks like clear sailing into Friday's close. Time for the vix to drop and all those billions and billions spent on all these tech stock options to start shriveling up and evaporate into the ether. Oh... and the big dog... I did add to RH right before the close when it crossed $380 on the way down and then bounced. Zero fear on that one. I was ready to add at $400 tomorrow anyway so we got a deal. Maybe a little fear lol, I didn't use all the powder I've allotted for it. So, let it go lower. It's a multi-year hold. Best high beta granny stock in the world. Bah. Instead of gloating about our need for snowblowers, you could make a short-term play on the NG producers? How about the NG futures? They are spiking into the weekend on this potential blow-out snowstorm. Maybe look at a company that makes the snowblowers? Toro? Briggs and Stratton? Husqevarna? I do not know if they are publicly traded.
My kid turns 18 this weekend of the snowstorm. He wants to go to Hunter NY with some friends. No he does does not ski and no I have no idea where Hunter is but I'm pretty sure if the snow somewhat misses NYC on a direct hit Hunter may not be as lucky. I do not like this one bit. I don't like the separation of family I don't like the icy roads I don't like the bunch of kids in an AirB&B I don't like but I have been holding my thoughts inside because I don't want him to feel like I'm shorting his outlook on life. "Soybeans turned higher early and made another leg up. A lot of that was due to sharply higher bean oil, which is following the palm oil," according to Futures International analyst Terry Reilly. Another strong factor in today's move was concerns about a reduced South American harvest and exports from top soy supplier Brazil, as traders continue to monitor poor crop weather in parts of the continent. "The market is choosing to ignore soft demand dynamics in China to focus on what it perceives to belingering production risks in the weeks ahead in South America, coupled with the emerging renewable diesel industry that will significantly ramp up demand for soyoil in the months and years ahead," according to Arlan Suderman of StoneX.
