Van I am thinking again about Marqeta. There was a little strength today in the sector AFRM stopped going down. It's tough to say what moves from here. I have alot of thoughts. Basically having the financial angle to a tech idea I still think is good. Marqeta initiated with a Neutral at Goldman Sachs 04:46 MQ Goldman Sachs analyst Michael Ng initiated coverage of Marqeta with a Neutral rating and $18 price target. Marqeta is a modern card issuer processor that allows customers to establish and manage customized card programs of all types through its cloud-based platform, Ng tells investors in a research note. The analyst believes the company is well positioned to gain share in the U.S. card issuer processor market but thinks this opportunity is appropriately reflected in its valuation.
Marqeta processes less than 1% of the world's transactions within a TAM of $45 trillion globally. One of the big trends that Marqeta is levered to is the ongoing shift to digital payments from cash payments, which is currently accelerating. Marqeta's Q3 2021 TPV rose 60% YoY to $27.6 billion and net revenues in Q3 grew 56% YoY to $132 million.
I used a little self control today -- I had a gummie I didn't give it out because it was a 40 cents stock and I thought hat would just piss everyone else off. so of course I just looked up 22%
In the past the stock market has corrected violently when the Fed raises rates. It's annoying. In the old days it was 3 rates and a tumble. You were allowed 3 rate hikes to get your ducks in order and then the carpet was ripped out. Over time that 3 rate hikes has been more like a bit after the 1st one watch out. The pain was really pulled forward. There was a series of years I got burned waiting for 3 rate hikes and the market imploding on me. Is that where we are now? I'm not sure. We can say 4 rate hikes are built into he system now. Will the Fed actually deliver that? I'm not sure. I tend to think not. In a weird way I feel a relief rally coming at the first hike.~si
GO TITO! Earlier this week, Dr. Peter Hotez and Dr. Maria Elena Bottazzi, professors at the Baylor College of Medicine and co-directors of the Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development, were back in the news when they revealed that their open-source vaccine had received zero funding from G7 countries. A donation of $1 million from the philanthropic arm of Tito's Vodka in spring 2020 was still more than any federal funding toward their project of releasing a patent-free, no-strings-attached vaccine to low- and middle-income countries. Now Hotez says that the Austin-based vodka giant isn't finished funding their vaccine research. "They’re committed to additional funding," Hotez tells MySA, without revealing a number. When reached for comment, a spokesperson for the vodka company referred only to a prior comment about having more information to share later in January.
Permission to not mask? It was pretty jarring earlier this month when the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court took the bench for the first time since the omicron surge over the holidays. All were now wearing masks. All, that is, except Justice Neil Gorsuch. What's more, Justice Sonia Sotomayor was not there at all, choosing instead to participate through a microphone setup in her chambers. Sotomayor has diabetes, a condition that puts her at high risk for serious illness, or even death, from COVID-19. She has been the only justice to wear a mask on the bench since last fall when, amid a marked decline in COVID-19 cases, the justices resumed in-person arguments for the first time since the onset of the pandemic. Now, though, the situation had changed with the omicron surge, and according to court sources, Sotomayor did not feel safe in close proximity to people who were unmasked. Chief Justice John Roberts, understanding that, in some form asked the other justices to mask up. They all did. Except Gorsuch, who, as it happens, sits next to Sotomayor on the bench. His continued refusal since then has also meant that Sotomayor has not attended the justices' weekly conference in person, joining instead by telephone.
It's $37 now. Did you see APPS? $43 ZI holding $49 The Robo is $76 The Mattehorn is $12 SCCO----> $68.40 You don't want to own a miner (possibly) going into a recession. I know this time is a little different because of the projected forward demand for copper, but you see how fast it pulled back today. Biden talked for over an hour, and I don't know if any of you caught this, I don't think he meant to say it, but he pretty much stated that it's a forgone conclusion Putin is going into Ukraine. The Brits and the Germans are gonna be pissed. So there's that. What did I say last month Stoney, "the top's in, sell the news".
Too late for that type thinking Van I hit my way out as always. Planting a thousand Marqueta tomorrow. And away we go. Copper I have no idea it was your stk I thought. I'm pretty sure there was a GBA bull copper call based on EV cars.. maybe I'm imaging things--In some accounts I'm only doing TOTAL RETURN High Dividends. If we lose Ukraine it's no big deal. If we lose Taiwan the world is upside down.

New Shake Shack Shake Nods to the Cannabis Crowd Is the new Wake&Shake a riff on the stoner term "wake-and-bake"? Morning can mean different wakeup times for different people and Shake Shack (SHAK) - Get Shake Shack, Inc. Class A Report alludes to how marijuana enthusiasts may not get up at the crack of dawn with the name of one of its new shakes. The New York City-based burger and frozen custard joint started off the year by releasing two new shake flavors. The Chocolate Pie Shake is a combination of frozen chocolate custard, croissant crumble and ganache toasted oat pie from Four & Twenty Blackbirds - Oh god yes!!!!!!while the Wake&Shake is a vanilla custard-based concoction mixed with Red Bay coffee, maple syrup, and orange zest...... While not directly referencing marijuana, the name "Wake And Shake" can be seen as a riff on the cannabis community's term "wake and bake" — smoking marijuana first thing in the morning. The two shakes, which replace seasonal offerings Sugar Plum Fairy Shake and Christmas Cookie Shake, will be available throughout the spring and on the annual marijuana celebration day of April 20. The Public Is Having It The new releases were first announced by Candy Hunting on Instagram and was immediately met with excitement online — some YouTube food bloggers have already been reviewing the different shakes online.
