SeaChange International(NASDAQ:SEAC)jumped rose 36% amid social media promotion after speculation about a potential deal with social-video app Triller last week.

Bloomberg reported a week ago about a potential likely reverse merger transaction between SeaChange and Triller, sending SeaChange shares up almost 130%. A deal would value Triller at a premium to its most recent valuation of about $1.25B.

Triller is a competitor to ByteDance's (BDNCE) TikTok platform. The Triller app has counted former President Donald Trump and entertainers Roddy Ricch, Eminem and Alicia Keys as users. A deal for Triller comes after YouTube competitor Rumble announced a deal to go public through SPAC CF Acquisition VI (NASDAQ:CFVI) earlier this month.

SeaChange is beging mentioned on social media again todayvafter the stock was a hot topic last week after the Triller deal speculation.
