The opinion by the trial judge upholds the validity of claims in BDSI's patents 8,147,866 (the '866 patent), which expires in 2027, and 9,901,539 (the '539 patent), which expires in 2032. Alvogen conceded infringement of these claims. Accordingly, BDSI expects market exclusivity of BELBUCA against Alvogen until 2032. Bloomberg reported a week ago about a potential likely reverse merger transaction between SeaChange and Triller, sending SeaChange shares up almost 130%. A deal would value Triller at a premium to its most recent valuation of about $1.25B. Triller is a competitor to ByteDance's (BDNCE) TikTok platform. The Triller app has counted former President Donald Trump and entertainers Roddy Ricch, Eminem and Alicia Keys as users. While I'm here.... Remember how I pointed out that bear put spread on CHWY right before earnings? That I explained to you 3 times how it worked and you still didn't get the concept? Whatever on that, but I'm going somewhere with it. For the last two days I've been seeing the same kinda thing with 2022 puts on both the Nasdaq and S&P. And these are not small bets. We're talking some in excess of $25M in one trade. There's some very smart people out there betting big money against this market. I think 2022, despite what every expert and their brother is out there is saying.... I think 2022 just might be a bear market buddy. Recession? Beats me... but I watched a $15M bet yesterday that implicated the Nasdaq is gonna get 20% plus haircut in 2022. I also saw tons of "smaller" bets (> $1M) implicating the exact same thing. I saw zero bullish bets. Whaaaaatever. "The sell-off is fake." Lol. We shall see. For now the VZ top that got over 800 likes on Twitter holds.
