Double Overtime! We win by one... OMG. I'm so lucky I wasn't there today I may have had a coronary event. Oh thank goodness.. got the X mas tree today- what a day! It's so ironic one of my kids essays for college application is about what he has learned in life by always being on losing basketball teams as our record has never been very good. BUT this year He's a Senior.... and they are off to a great start! GO HAWKS-!
Sportradar betting on sports betting data, Barron's says 09:39 SRAD More than 30 states have legalized sports betting, with nearly half of them allow online wagering, and keeping score for the bettors, bookmakers, and broadcasters are companies such as Sportradar Group, Bill Alpert writes in this week's edition of Barron's. Revenue has been growing at a 30% annual clip, as the company serves a global sports betting market that could reach $70 billion by the end of the decade. Yet since its Nasdaq debut in September, Sportradar stock has sunk by a third to a recent $18, the author notes, adding that the U.S. holds obvious growth opportunities for Sportradar
Estimated short interest in National Beverage (FIZZ) had spiked heading into its Q2 results yesterday, more than doubling to a 2021-high of 42.6%. The stock was down 5.5% on an unadjusted basis in the five-day period covered in what had ended up being a top and bottom line miss, though the management had also pre-emptively announced a $3 special dividend a week prior, helping to stem the 20% decline from its early November highs.
Bill Ackman blasts CPI calculation, says inflation now in double-digits Dec. 11, 2021 10:17 AM ETInvitation Homes Inc. (INVH) "The inflation that households are actually experiencing is raging and well in excess of reported government statistics," says Bill Ackman, noting Owners’ Equivalent Rent - which yesterday officially posted a 3.5% Y/Y increase - falls woefully short of describing what's actually happening in the real world. Ackman reminds that the country's largest single-family landlords are reporting 17% Y/Y gains in rent. Why does it matter? Well, OER accounts for 24% of the headline inflation calculation and 30% of core CPI, so it's kind of important to get it right. If the statisticians at the BLS incorporated reality into their models, the core rate of inflation in the U.S. would be 9%, rather than the 4.9% reported yesterday. The headline rate would be 10.1% vs. the 6.8% reported.
Expect double-digit EBITDA growth from Krispy Kreme - Baron Growth Fund Dec. 10, 2021 2:38 PM ETKrispy Kreme, Inc. (DNUT) Baron Growth Fund predicted in a letter to investors that Krispy Kreme (NASDAQ:DNUT) will expand its EBTIDA in the "low to mid double-digit" percentage range, as the company builds out its core business, as well as other secondary concepts. Ronald Baron, Baron Growth Fund's CEO and lead portfolio manager, and Neal Rosenberg, its co-portfolio manager, reported that their models suggest revenue growth in the "high single- to low double-digit range over the long term." Meanwhile, bottom-line figures are likely to show even faster growth, they argued, as the company takes advantage of increased scale in its main donut-distribution operation. Beyond its double-digit EBITDA growth, Baron and Rosenberg also see even faster growth in the firm's earnings figures as the company adds cash flow and eliminates debt. "We believe that Krispy Kreme's iconic, globally recognized brand with rich history positions it well to meet ... growing consumer demand," they said in a fund letter released this month. The fund managers said the company will also benefit from secondary investments in brands like Branded Sweet Treats and Insomnia cookies. Baron and Rosenberg disclosed that they participated in DNUT's IPO, which took place in early July. They added the stock remains "squarely within the Core Growth category" within their portfolio. DNUT came pubic through an IPO priced at $17 a share// $15 now!
In the past 12 months, ZI's stock price has risen 55.3 percent vs. the U.S. S&P 500 index 'rise of 29.1 percent, as the chart below indicates:go van!
Stoney!!!!! The fan mail keeps rolling in. They want me to open an advisory service. Whatever. Like I would charge anyone lol. I do it here for free, plus I enjoy the intraday banter with you. I see that you highlighted SRAD: What I tell you 20% ago? It's $18.23 now. ++++++++++++++++++++++ Regarding ZI.... It's very volatile, but its a strong stock, I have said that a dozen times. Expect lower this week in anticipation of Powell's remarks. Regarding SNAP... I called the PERFECT near term bottom at $45. You're welcome Stoney. From there to $53 was another winner winner chicken dinner for free. I saved you $4. Regarding RBLX.... $114... it was down what, .38%? bfd How much did XSPA drop Friday? It is a game of percentages after all right? RBLX could go lower, and it probably will, but I suspect the short interest is building on this one. Short it intraday, but overnight... no way. Roblox has all the makings of a short killer. Academy Sports... take the money if it goes much higher. $46.90 is a gift. There's a reason this thing has a low PE. I don't know what that reason is, but stocks like this don't go undiscovered. And I mean before Pete on Power-Lunch. It's a sell up here at $47. I know @unconventional likes it: It is for a multi-year time-frame, but if you're trading and need the buying power, go ahead and sell it up here. You'll be able to get back in at where it was before the earnings report. This week will be interesting. A soft landing, or a crash landing? If there's a big tech crash, 3 high flyers I'd buy: ZI PATH SNAP Yes PATH is the new kid in The Garden. Strong Buy on any pullback. $46 now ADEK won't see $52 anytime soon. I have not followed it since early this year, and it was a buy when I pointed it out at $39 last week, but there must be a reason it has not kept up with TREX, because TREX is up 40% from when we were watching it last Spring. Why is ADEK not at $55 plus? Again, we don't know, but there must be something the whales don't like. Maybe I'll look this week. I think it could break $45 though, but it'll be a slow, choppy ride if it does, at least until their next ER. ++++++++++++++ EDIT: One more thing on this stock PATH. It's new, and there's a lock-up period. It will be volatile and I would NOT buy it this week. They just had earnings. It could easily drop to $42, and if tech crashes... $37. But all things being equal, just watch it and do your own DD. I think it will be much higher this time next year, but the bottom is certainly not in if tech pulls back. This is a high flying cloud stock and it's pricey for sure.
Stoney!!!! Fedex. Is it a buy or granny's shorts? I'm leaning towards a buy but we'll have to watch this week's action. They report Thursday. Not exploiting a horrible disaster, but these kind of events make folks re-think the importance of home generators. Generac is 25% off its highs. I was waiting for $317 on this one, but its decline may be over near term. GNRC-----> $348 Still pricey. PWR will see a pop tomorrow. Unlike a hurricane, this one is spread out. They're gonna be busy for awhile. It's a good company doing good work, get the the lights back on for these folks. Power to PWR (Quanta). $114
Regarding ZI.... It's very volatile, but its a strong stock, I have said that a dozen times. Expect lower this week in anticipation of Powell's remarks. You don't think this is going lower do you? About a month ago this was $ 76. >>>>> Yea those storms were real bad. We have a friend down KY way POWER- PWR- I wouldn't do it there's something wrong with that stock. It's just like GXO you own it for a week and feel very uncomfy. 1 month ago PWR was Exactly here it's a real snooze. Of these stocks ABB STILL LOOKS THE BEST TO ME...
