--> One of Richardson’s largest customers is LAM Research, which is projecting a 50% increase in sales for the program Richardson is supplying. --> $43 million of cash and no interest-bearing debt as of May 29, 2021. THIS PATENT IS HUGE! ULTRA 3000 BABY! Richardson Electronics (RELL) One of the biggest needs for the power grid going forward is a massive backup power fleet that generates electricity when wind and solar are not working. Until now, the thought has been it would come from large lithium-based batteries, similar to that found in an EV and more recently hydrogen. Richardson has developed a different product that appears superior to a battery. It is an ultracapacitor they call ULTRA3000. An ultracapacitor is a giant capacitor which is often found in circuit boards. Their product is superior to batteries as it lasts 10-15 years versus 3-5 for a battery. It also works in more extreme weather and provides a similar amount of power. This product has an average price of $600. There are currently over 700,000 wind turbines in the world. Adding in new wind turbines and more than one per turbine puts a TAM over $1 billion. That, of course, is overly conservative. It gets better. Their ultracapacitor is agnostic and can be used with any power source regardless of the manufacturer. It works just as well with solar and other power storage. It can also conceivably be used for residential and commercial power backup

Richardson Electronics Provides Business Update Richardson Electronics, Ltd. Tue, December 7, 2021, 4:15 PM Preliminary FY22 Q2 revenue expected to increase over 27% year-over-year to $54.0 million; backlog increases to $146.9 million LAFOX, Ill., Dec. 07, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Richardson Electronics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RELL) today announced preliminary results for its second quarter ended November 27, 2021, in conjunction with the Company’s presentation at the Sidoti & Company Winter Virtual Micro Cap Investor Conference. Preliminary Fiscal Year 2022 second quarter net sales are expected to be approximately $54.0 million, representing 27.3% growth compared to the prior year’s second quarter. Revenue increased across the Company’s three business units from the same period a year ago due to strong end-market demand and successful new product expansion initiatives. Backlog also increased during the quarter from $126.5 million at the end of the first quarter to $146.9 million at the end of the Company’s second quarter.
“The strong start to fiscal 2022 is encouraging. In fact, we have experienced six consecutive quarters of sequential revenue growth demonstrating strengthening demand trends across most of our global markets, and the benefits of our growth initiatives,” said Edward J. Richardson, Richardson Electronics’ Chief Executive Officer. “During the second quarter, we began shipping our patented ULTRA3000® Pitch Energy Module (PEM), an ultracapacitor-based plug and play replacement for batteries within GE wind turbine pitch systems. Sales to our semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment customers and demand for our power grid and microwave tubes were also strong. In addition, Canvys had record quarterly sales during the fiscal 2022 second quarter and Richardson Healthcare sold more ALTA750 tubes than any prior quarter. We look forward to sharing our full financial results and providing an update on our outlook when we release second quarter results on January 5, 2022.”

Restoration Hardware reports tonight. $575 Cramer loves this thing. The CEO is cool,I like the guy. Visionary type. But... why has this not gone up coming into earnings? That tells me one thing on a stock like this... they need to knock the cover off the ball and update guidance going forward or it's gonna drop below $500. Any severe drop will be bought however. Not apples to apples, certainly a different demographic, but LoveSac saw a 54% you increase in sales. RH is forecast for 16%. An easy beat. Horton's average home price is now north of $900K and they're backlogged. These are the type of homes that use RH to furnish. HMMMM. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say BUY. This thing could be $650 tomorrow. This is a very risky call and I could easily just not put it out there. But I think it heads up. Even if I'm wrong, I don't think it'll stay down long.
