Aemetis inks $1.1B sustainable aviation fuel deal with American Airlines Dec. 01, 2021 8:51 AM ETAemetis, Inc. (AMTX)AAL Aemetis(NASDAQ:AMTX) +10.1%pre-market after signing a seven-year agreement to supply American Airlines(NASDAQ:AAL)with 280M gallons of blended fuel containing sustainable aviation fuel, in a deal valued at more than $1.1B. Aemetis says the blended sustainable aviation fuel to be delivered under the deal is 40% SAF and 60% Petroleum Jet A to meet international blending standards. The fuel is expected to be produced by the Aemetis plant under development on a 125-acre former U.S. Army ammunition production plant site in Riverbank, Calif., and is expected to be available for use by American starting in 2024. American says the agreement builds on its efforts to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
