Senators move forward with bill to ban Russian uranium imports, Cameco takes off Mar. 17, 2022 2:05 PM ETRNFTF, SRUUF, URA, CCJ Four Senators introduced a bill Thursday to ban imports of Russian uranium. Recent sanctions have restricted oil, natural gas and coal imports, but left the world's leading producer of enriched uranium free to trade with US utilities. Russia's Rosatom accounts for ~35% of the world's enriched uranium supply, versus Rosneft (OTCPK:RNFTF) at ~4% of global oil supply. The Sprott Physical Uranium Trust (OTCPK:SRUUF) is up ~4% on the news. North American uranium producers (URA) are also trading higher, with Cameco (CCJ) +8%.

You know what i am noticing today and we have to be careful about this. Certain stocks that have been slammed the CEO's are making insider buy and everyone is crowing but how much is the outlay... I have spotted a few of these I have not posted because the CEO's are not shelling out very much and they are getting 10% responses.

The French company said full-year net profit jumped to €404.3M ($446M) from €88.8M in 2020, as revenue rose to €28.5B from €26B, in part because of higher volumes, and it proposed a dividend of €1.00/share for FY 2021, up from €0.70 for 2020. For FY 2022, Veolia expects to add close to €10B in revenues and sees 4%-6% organic growth for EBITDA, noting its exposure to Russia and Ukraine is very limited. AlphaValue analyst Nicolas Bouthors said the outlook matched an "aggressive consensus" and hailed good signals on the Suez integration, according to Reuters. The company continues to await antitrust approval from the U.K. market regulator, which closed its tender offer for Suez shares at the end of January.
