I gave two ideas. NKE and ULTA.
NKE's solid, ULTA has a slight degree of risk with an earnings report on what could be a big down day. China is getting more vocal about siding with Russia.

  3. There are a few Canadian oil outfits I have been interested in TRMLF being one- they are Nat Gas. Suncor SU a lot of people don't like, it looks like it's going high and the Pipeline idea above.

This-> Sen. Warren working on windfall profits tax for Big Oil 13:04 BP, COP, TTE, XOM, CVX, SHEL Senator Elizabeth Warren said via Twitter: "Big Oil's first priority is to maximize profits. It's also their second priority, third priority, and on and on. We can't let them use Putin's invasion as an excuse to pad their bottom line with war-fueled profits. So I'm working with Senate Democrats on a windfall profits tax." Publicly traded companies in the space include BP (BP), Chevron (CVX), ConocoPhillips (COP), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Shell (SHEL), and Total Energies (TTE).

That would not affect Canadian players would it... Canada could follow suit or they could not.
    I bet they won't.

Sounds good. 5 YouTubes/day and 1000 word per post limit unless it's original prose? Links work very well if someone is interested in the stock. TLDR represents a four letter word.

  5. Van I don't want to be rude but this thread is not going to be a self look at me sort of thread with ideas just shouted out with no amount of shares bought etc. I really want to develop ideas and themes here BIG ones.. Like the space situation now with Russia... Like the American comeback from the virus and the oil situation commodities.

So if you have a Big theme idea take the time to rollout the thinking for everyone. I thought you said Deer.

    Nike and Ultra.

For Nike perhaps point to the FL earnings and make some assumptions off that. The stock is way down and ultimately going down further I think. High gas costs are going to nip that price point in retail hard.

Ultra I bet has huge sales to Russia. Those gals are made up.

  6. Ebay has had an interesting time of it as of late.- They missed earn and has a MASS downgrade day maybe eight houses! It was the old CNBC days with the penguins.

    2/23 eBay drops 11% to $48.59 after Q1, FY22 guidance misses estimates

That of course was the bottom.>

    - guided lower / Prob the worst part- eBay reports annual active buyers down 9% to $147M

Any good news?- eBay raises quarterly dividend 22%, announces additional $4B share buyback plan 02/23 EBAY Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 22c per share, a 22% increase from the prior quarterly dividend, and expanded share repurchase authorization by an additional $4B. The dividend is payable on March 18 to stockholders of record as of March 10..

Ebay is an interesting idea now. They have a Virtual Investor day today at 11:00 am. There
is considerable pressure I think on management to say or do or hint at something.

    $53 now.

  7. China bad. What stands to benefit in the US from bad China.

Recycling? Rare earths good, nickel & other metals found in high tech goods more valuable now for recycling.- I'm working on some ideas here---

Scarcity of water will be a theme of this thread.> One company looks interesting in France.

Veolia Environnement - made a big purchase w/ Suez.

Veolia Environment resumed with a Buy at HSBC 05:52 VEOEY HSBC analyst Veri Mitchell resumed coverage of Veolia Environment with a Buy rating and price target of EUR 40, up from EUR 21. The analyst believes concerns over the company's geopolitical challenges look overdone. Veolia is now "bigger and bolder" following the merger with the Suez businesses,

    That's what I think it was a great purchase.>
    • Veolia will soon benefit from the integration of Suez, which will boost the company's international footprint.

I don't need to copy and paste whatever analyst upgraded or downgraded whatever stock.
I've never paid attention to that in my life.
And I'm right about 1000X more right than they are.

    >>>>> NKE and ULTA

Regarding buying the stocks... some I do some I don't.
Did you buy any Bumblebee the other day?
If you say yes you certainly didn't state that fact.

Know why we had 100K views on the other threads? trust me, it wasn't because of you.
Go back and look at the views on your old threads. The ones before I decided to chime in.
    About 1/10th.

So yes, you are being rude.
    You're welcome.

  9. THE CASE FOR DOUG-

Rents are through the roof in NYC that has to be good for Doug. Doug is also starting out on his own... Residential Sales are way up- DOUG has pricey price per transaction....

The results in Elliman having a 2021 average price per transaction of 1,580,000 per home, substantially higher than our leading competitors, it is important to note that our luxury brand resonates with higher average sales prices across all our markets. Our average price per transaction is 1.45 million per home, outside of New York City, which is well above the national average.

While New York City remains our largest market with $16.2 billion in gross transaction value or close sales in 2021, our South Florida market continue to show strength with $14.6 billion in gross transaction value or close sales, and average selling price was approximately $2 million per home in both New York City and South Florida.

As you know everyone moved to Florida. All these money guys... F em all!

Our market share in the New York City for the quarter and year was 22% and our market share in South Florida for the quarter and year was 20% and 21% respectively. In Florida, we are building on our strength from Miami to Palm Beach, and we were also increasing our presence on the West Coast of the state. Recently, for example, we have experienced significant growth in Naples and St. Petersburg and are looking to expand on the Gulf Coast into Sarasota and Tampa.

let us move on to Douglas Elliman's financial results. Douglas Elliman maintained a strong balance sheet with cash of $214.3 million at December 31, 2021. We believe this will put places us in a position of strength in the market. With the three months ended December 31, 2021 Douglas Elliman reported $334.2 million in revenues compared to $267.5 million in the 2020 period.

For the year ended December 31, 2021 Douglas Elliman reported a $1.35, excuse me, $1.35 billion in revenues compared to $774 million in 2020. Net income was $98.8 million or $1.27 per diluted share for the year ended December 31, 2021 compared to a net loss of $46.4 million or $0.60 per diluted share in the 2020 period.

    Dec 30 IPO-->
