  1. Van or Stoney, I see MDVL I have sold previously several times. Last week I bought at prices from $1.34 to $2.20s and sold on Thursday at $2.5-$2.6, stock tanked on a massive sell order to $1.98 15:00 Est. I bought back(Held the $1.34 shares) up to $2.15 selling $3-$3.05 in AH. Today it was $3.26 at 4:00 Est, what moves stocks like MDVL? Originally the pump was .50 to $2.80 fell to $1.3. Thursday back to $3.00 AH. A big investment $20,000,000 at $.50 was the catalyst. How come shelf offering kill some like Sunshine Bio(Paid $7.8-$8.3 sold $11.4 plus AH) shelf crushed to $4.20 where I bought at and sold $5.80 and it’s below $5 again.

    Sorry to ramble, it’s 1:35 AM, so why do some shelf offering kill and others drive price up? I have very little, stock is weird like INDO(Bought $18-20 out $25-$27 Thursday).

  4. ALERT*--> Gran Tierra initiated with a Buy at Canaccord 07:24 GTE Canaccord analyst Roman Rossi initiated coverage of Gran Tierra with a Buy rating and C$2.70 price target as the firm expands coverage through Latin America. He calls Gran Tierra "a very interesting play in an investor friendly jurisdiction" and believes the stock could be poised for more growth as the drilling campaign advances even after the significant share price increase over the last year, Rossi tells investors. Gran Tierra is one of the leading independent O&G players in Colombia and has three prospective blocks in Ecuador, Rossi noted.

  5. I HAVE DECIDED NETFLIX IS A BARE ESSENTIAL? - Thoughts?

    Netflix Q1 net adds may be closer to 3.5M, says Deutsche Bank 07:16 NFLX Deutsche Bank analyst Bryan Kraft maintained his Q1 global subscriber estimate, in line with Netflix's 2.5M guidance, though he believes net adds may be closer to 3.5M when not accounting for a 1M base adjustment for Russia. The analyst's analysis of Sensor Tower data shows mobile device app downloads to be nearly flat year-over-year and down 6% quarter-over-quarter, indicative of a continued decline in gross adds both annually and sequentially. This usually comes with a decrease in net adds, but given the "tumultuousness coming out of COVID and increasing competition, it is hard to predict how correlated net adds will be this quarter," Kraft tells investors in a research note. He keeps a Hold rating on Netflix shares.

  7. Signs are emerging that Q1 earnings season will be more disappointing than expected, especially with regards to forward estimates and guidance, Morgan Stanley says.

    "Earnings revisions breadth for the S&P 500 (SP500) (NYSEARCA:SPY) has resumed its downtrend over the past 2 weeks and is once again approaching negative territory (which would mean more downward than upward out-year EPS revisions)," chief equity strategist Mike Wilson wrote in a note Monday.

    "This is largely being driven by declining revisions in cyclical industries where we've been more negative - Consumer (XLY), Industrials (XLI), Tech Hardware (XLK) and Semis (SOXX) (SMG)," Wilson said. "Negative revisions are often an indication that forward EPS estimates are going to flatten out or even fall."

    With cost pressures, payback risk in consumer demand and the Russia/Ukraine war, a "downward move in revisions should play out again into 1Q reporting season," he added.

    "The difference this time is that we think the downtrend is likely to take revisions breadth outright negative, and potentially well into negative territory. While this is no guarantee of a collapse of forward EPS, it is typically a sign that forward earnings estimates are going to decelerate or at least consolidate sideway."

  8. IDEA #1-> NFLX

    Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings after the market closes on Tuesday and while the results are important, investment firm Bank of America is placing more importance on guidance.

    Analyst Nat Schindler, whorates Netflix buy with a $605 target, noted that the second-quarter guidance will be driven by the return ofStranger Things, as well as a lingering impact from the second season ofBridgerton.

    "We are, however, somewhat concerned that the Street is expecting too much from these in the seasonally weak [second-quarter] with Street estimates of 2.6 [million] being higher than 1Q guidance –something that hasn’t happened in Netflix’s history," Schindler wrote in a note to clients.

    Netflix (NFLX) shares weredown fractionally to $340.81

  9. IDEA #2-> PFE

    With two well-documented cases of recovery following its use, the antiviral Paxlovid developed by Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) for coronavirus provides evidence supporting its potential in long COVID, a condition impacting an estimated 100 million people globally.

    With no cure, long COVID affects up to 30% of those infected with the coronavirus. It is characterized by hundreds of different symptoms such as fatigue, chest pain, and brain fog lasting more than three months.

    In one of the cases, a previously healthy and vaccinated 47-year-old woman who was experiencing long COVID symptoms was prescribed a five-day course of Paxlovid after she was reinfected, likely with the virus. On day 3, she reported a swift improvement of long COVID symptoms,according to Reuters.
