  5. Alright I am sending in the Fed Ex idea to the HF. They are real prickily these days and I can't bring one of my crazy ideas to them right now--

As for a short... there was an article in the NY Times today about planes being held hostage by Russia basically any planes left there, Russia is stealing and that article mentioned ATSG<--- 97% sure it was this air lease co and ATSG apparently has over 100 planes stuck in Russia...

  6. So I guess the question is did Fed Ex get their planes out and I bet they did! This was 3/4

FedEx to suspend all services in Russia and Belarus 03/04 FDX FedEx posted the following message to team members on the conflict in Ukraine to its website: "We are writing to you today with great sadness as we watch the crisis in Ukraine continue to unfold. We are deeply disturbed by what's happening, and our thoughts and solidarity are with the people affected by this ongoing violence. We wanted to share with you some of the actions we are taking as a company in response. First and foremost, we are focused on the safety of our team members in Ukraine, and we know you share our concern for their well-being. We are providing them with direct financial assistance and several resources, including an emergency helpline where they can ask questions and request additional support. This is our top priority. Our team in Europe is staying in close contact with them on a daily basis, and we have temporarily suspended all services in Ukraine for their safety. And, as we support the people of Ukraine, we also have made the decision to suspend all FedEx services in Russia and Belarus. We also believe it is our responsibility to use our resources and global capabilities to help alleviate human suffering in our communities. To that end, FedEx will provide more than $1.5 million in humanitarian aid, which includes $1 million in in-kind shipping to organizations who are transporting supplies into the area and $550,000 in cash donations to non-government organizations in Europe. Two of our core values at FedEx are 'we take care of each other' and 'we commit to do good.' We are never more mindful of what those mean than in times like this."

  7. Lets get back to my wife. The crux of the Investing thesis in Fed Ex is THEY ARE PASSING ON THE COSTS OF HIGHER FUEL....

Ok so I just sent the email in and I did something sneaky that always works... I said due to the scary market conditions maybe buy less than a full size position... Folks... 90% success rate when I do this. And when I consider two stocks and buy a lot of one and just a little of the other.... 100% success rate on the other!

JPMorgan 'constructive' on FedEx shares into March 17 results 03/03 FDX JPMorgan analyst Brian Ossenbeck lowered the firm's price target on FedEx to $297 from $312 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The analyst is "constructive" on FedEx into the fiscal Q3 earnings release on March 17 saying the stock has lagged during a "constant stream of weather and COVID related service alerts and the recent flare-up of geopolitical tension." Ossenbeck says that while these factors are all incremental negatives since management guided in mid-December, he expects a Q3 beat and reiterated fiscal 2022 guide on higher fuel surcharges.
