    Remember when SNAP crashed the markets in the after-hours and we soared the next day?
    Not saying Fedex is the same thing.... but as the savant pointed out, bad news is good news and a 100 basis point increase just left the room I think.
    .50 would send the market up too fast.
    Powell will stay the course.
    >>> .75

    EDIT:
    But his tone will be more timid.
    And THAT my friends, will light the fire.

  6. Van I've had this out with a few Bank's economists and they all slam me.

    But I think a .50 move would indicate that the Fed sees the slow down and thus give the market
    confidence that he's not going to overdue the tightening cycle and the market would like that.

    And it would be the correct move.

    Economists think that market would lose faith in the Fed which is always the worst outcome because they sort of talked up the .75. I disagree.

    STOCK OF THE DAY AFFIRM

    Affirm selloff on CFPB report should be bought, says Mizuho 06:41 AFRM Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev says the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's buy now pay later report is "less harmful than feared." Most prominently, the "lack of a clear call for action is a positive," Dolev tells investors in a research note. Instead, the CFPB is saying it will simply be "working with state regulators...on examinations of these firms," notes the analyst. He recommends buying shares of Affirm on yesterday's weakness and keeps a Buy rating on the name with a $42 price target.

    I just watched your buddy Cramer's opening block from last night on the dvr, he basically said what I said above:
    Powell will go .75 and then say "he see's positive signs that the rate increases are working, they'll remain data dependent, and .50 is certainly on the table for Nov. Big Jim has come to depend on my savantness in times of turmoil.

    Re Fedex.... of course I'm joking. We'll let the dust settle and then buy 5 weeks ahead of earnings.
