Yeah, you really have to pay attention to what your dog is getting into when they're outside their usual little world. They don't know any better. People are idiots. Not you Stoney, just some pet owners in general.

A friend of ours a few years back asked if once or twice a week she could pick up Muttley in the mornings to jog at the park with her. "It would make her feel safer." I told her "hell no(!)"... and to buy a gun or something. This ditz has no situational awareness. Muttley would be rooting around trash cans and stuff. And of course... needless to say... on the home-front, I "was just being a jerk". Yeah well, so be it, but I like Muttley way better than her.

My go to plays here are listed on NYSE under SILV and EXK. Highly volatile stocks that are probably cheap if a big recession doesn't land.

  5. Nine - the historic ratio between Gold and Silver is out of wack. With Global meltdowns and monsoons and floods is there going to be any gold buying this year in India? No.

With Drought and Covid lock down any buying from China? No.

That leaves the Saudi's and like minded oil barons as the only buyers of gold.

Silver though... I wonder if it now out performs?

  6. Reclining Buddha just threw himself off the shelf and broke his arm.

That cannot be a good sign. Van I have a first conflict story from Charleston.

1st scary incident and we are only a few weeks in.

It involves a very drunk girl. Who says she was assaulted. My boy of course rode in horseback to save her with some friends and they were harassed by locals and shoved and a brawl almost happened.

I'm not going to guess what Silver will do. These miners are down 50% from 52 week highs because of lower commodity prices and an overdone fear of Inflation / Recessions. When we get rallies ( whether for a day or longer ), those two will outperform more times then not. I have no idea when such moves will occur. The whole Canadian mining sector is dirt cheap right now but until the fears of a major recession reduce they may be value traps beyond 1-3 day spurts.

    E. coli outbreak at Wendy's grows to 97 people, six states 15:18 WEN The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said yesterday that it is continuing to collect different types of data to identify the food source of a multistate outbreak of E. coli infections at Wendy's. "A specific food has not yet been confirmed as the source of this outbreak, but many sick people reported eating burgers and sandwiches with romaine lettuce at Wendy's restaurants before getting sick," the agency said in a statement. Since its last update on August 25, three more illnesses have been reported to the CDC. As of August 31, a total of 97 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli have been reported from six states. Sick people range in age from 3 to 94 years, with a median age of 22 years, and 55% are male. Of 81 people with information available, 43 have been hospitalized and 10 developed hemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious condition that can cause kidney failure. No deaths have been reported. "The true number of sick people in this outbreak is likely higher than the number reported, and the outbreak may not be limited to the states with known illnesses," cautioned the CDC. Shares of Wendy's are little changed at $19.36 in afternoon trading.
