(UBER) Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) is listed as one of the top stock picks for the second-half of the year, thanks to its "significant runway" for profitability and free cash flow growth in 2022 and 2023, investment firm Wolfe Research said onTuesday. Analyst Deepak Mathivanan, who has an outperform rating and a $37 price target on Uber (UBER), noted that shares of the Dara Khosrowshahi-led company have outperformed the broader NASDAQ by 14% since itreported second-quarter results, likely due to the company prioritizing profitability and its commitment to grow margins.

Ruchim's H Partners Management reported the purchase of 500K shares in two transactions of 250K apiece on August 19 andAugust 22. The transactions were executed at share prices of $22.72 and $23.76, respectively. H Partners now holds 10.5M shares of Six Flags Entertainment (SIX) for a 12.6% stake, which makes it the largest shareholder of the theme park operator, according to Bloomberg.

(ED) Consolidated Edison (NYSE:ED)-0.7%in Tuesday's trading following a New York Times report that the utility has been dumping millions of gallons of wastewater, some containing toxic metals such aschromium and lead, into the Hudson River in a New York City park with special protections for fish and other aquatic life. Environmental advocates say Hudson River Park and NYC officials have failed to alert the public to waste that may be harming the ecosystem, according to the report. Con Ed (ED) has long owned permits to discharge the water into the Hudson from its plant, but an adviser to the trust charged with running the park recently discovered the dumping, prompting a dispute over whether the utility should be allowed to continue the practice or even remain in the park, NYT reports. A Con Ed (ED) spokesperson said the discharges occurred only about twice a week and that the presence of toxic elements in them was minimal, NYT said.

(AJRD)GE,LMT,LDOS,HWM Aerojet Rocketdyne (NYSE:AJRD)rose 3.7%on a report that the rocket company has had recent discussions with a few strategic buyers about a potential deal. The talks were at an early stage and no deal is imminent, according to a Dealreporter item. The report comes after FTC filed a lawsuit in late January to block Lockheed Martin's (LMT) $4.4 billion purchase of Aerojet (AJRD). Lockheed terminated the dealin February. The Dealreporter item highlighted that activist investor Elliott Management, which disclosed a 3.7% stake in AJRD its most recent 13-F filing, is also a large holder of Howmet Aerospace (HWM). A source speculated that a Howmet potential deal with Aerojet may make sense. Elliott and Aerojet (AJRD) have yet to engage, according to one source. GE Aerospace, which will soon be spun off from General Electric (GE), also may be a good fit for Aerojet (AJRD), according to Dealreporter. Leidos (LDOS) may be another potential logical buyer for AJRD. The M&A report comes after Aerojet Rocketdyne (AJRD) CEO Eileen Drake in late June defeated Chairman Warren Lichtenstein in a proxy battle and had here ntire slate elected to the board of the rocket-engine maker.
