Pfizer looks good here I have to say.

  7. $390 on COST and I'm very interested.

Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST)- yet to report / will kill earn>
    NasdaqGS - NasdaqGS
429.40-61.07 (-12.45%) COST has always been a little too pricey for me to gather any. But it's hard to argue against the logic- food is cheaper when you buy at Costco and these are times in which it's good to buy in bulk. Gas is also cheaper which provides an interesting kicker-- I guess they pump gas at Costco's (I've never been in one)

  8. Lets keep ontop of this/// It's the same press release... littlebeefier but Chinese maybe it has an advantage now in that way.

Surrozen publishes article on SZN-1326 data in IBD 15:15 SRZN On May 16, Surrozen announced the publication of an article by Surrozen scientists in the journal Cellular and Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The results seen with one of Surrozen's proprietary Wnt mimetic antibodies highlight the potential for this novel approach to treating inflammatory bowel disease. Multiple molecules were evaluated in an acute Dextran Sodium Sulfate mouse colitis model, including SZN-1326, a Wnt mimetic with specificity to Frizzled 5 and low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6. SZN-1326 demonstrated the most rapid and robust repair of the injured colon epithelium without affecting normal epithelium and without causing hyperplasia. Current management of moderate to severe ulcerative colitis leaves a significant unmet medical need for drugs that can directly repair and regenerate the intestinal epithelium and can quickly induce clinical and histological remission in patients. Histologic remission is now increasingly regarded as an important treatment objective for UC, as the absence of microscopic disease activity predicts a better clinical course. There are currently no approved therapies that directly repair the epithelial barrier. Additionally, treatment options are limited once anti-inflammatory agents have failed. In the intestine, Wnt signaling plays an important role in maintaining integrity of the epithelium as part of tissue homeostasis and during injury repair. Since Wnt signaling in the intestinal mucosa is critical for repairing the intestinal epithelium, modulation of Wnt signaling has the potential to achieve epithelial regeneration, reduction in inflammation, improvement in disease control and histological remission and mucosal healing. Surrozen designed an antibody-based platform that generates potent Wnt mimetics, which specifically target select Fzd receptors and co-receptors. In this paper, the effects of multiple Wnt mimetics were evaluated to identify the desired regenerative effects on injured tissue and absence of hyperplasia in uninjured tissues.

    Stoney!!!

PLCE is kind of a daring call in this environment.
So why did I call it out then?

Well, for one it's real cheap. It has a PE of 4ish, solid balance sheet, 2.5 EV/Ebitda, it trades at 2.6Xcashflow, ROA 17%, ROE 117% (!) , its nearly 100% institutionally owned, the stores are classy, they own Gymboree too, and their target demographic is pretty much affluent suburban moms with credit cards buying for their kids. They're not scrimping, they want their kids dressed nice. No recession there. (Yet lol)

Of note there have been 8 insider buys in the last 3 months, all relatively small, but one in particular that caught my eye was March 23th. Two insiders bought about 2500 shares each on a day the stock dropped nicely. It had been $53 the day before and dropped to $49ish. They bought the dip.

The damn thing dropped 10% today, and I have to think that was mostly index selling since folks couldn't get out of retail fast enough. Did this one deserve to be punished like that? Probably not, I mean it is cheap. And solid. The retail sector etf's aren't going away and they'll have to adjust some holdings, ie dump the dogs and add more quality. Short interest is pretty high though. 20% so... ya never know.

Well run clothing stores, especially those that cater to the target demographic I noted above, always seem to do well in recessions. The Limited and all its various (now spun-off) stores always held their price levels and even gained through many turbulent markets.

Anytime one sector gets hit particularly hard, there's always a few outliers in that sector that go way up. The Container Store today is a good example. Up 7%.

So I dunno Stoney. But that's my analysis for now. If it drops 25% tomorrow... I better not hear boo from you lol. I tried to find us a beat down diamond in the rough. Not an easy task on a day like today. That's why I waited until the last 10 minutes to post it. Hopefully our "think about the children"- children didn't have time to get in.

    EDIT:
One thing I might have missed though, and I really do try to keep no stone unturned so I'm mad at myself for this, but I hope their international division doesn't generate a lot of its top line from Russia or Ukraine. I should have looked. Oh well, it's too late now I guess. :banghead:
