Thing about MGM, ... it was all priced in. The Vegas and Macau aggregate #'s came out last month. In the last two sessions, Idiots bought MGM thinking they were smart, and it jumped almost 9%.

Then last night, CNBC holds off on covering it, and the moment they do, it spikes up huge on low volume. An after hours short-- dream play.

  3. NFLX--

I was hoping for a large down open over the headlines that the writers have gone on strike.
That does not appear to be happening. So we will have to play this carefuly.

My one problem with the trade is that the very income from streaming that someone like NFLX might have to pay to writers-- that could go up.

Fascinating fact i dug up-- AI is in the strike. " What does AI think of workers strikning?..."

Artificial intelligence (AI) is another issue at the bargaining table.

The WGA wants safeguards to prevent studios from using AI to generate new scripts from writers' previous work. Writers also want to ensure they are not asked to rewrite draft scripts created by AI.

With a potential strike looming, production already had ground to a halt in Los Angeles. Film LA, which issues permits for filming in Los Angeles, said it had no shoots for scripted shows scheduled for Tuesday or the rest of the week.

If the work stoppage becomes protracted, the networks will increasingly fill their programming lineups with unscripted reality shows, news magazines and reruns. It also could lead to a delay of the fall TV season. Writing for fall shows normally starts in May or June.

Netflix may be insulated from any immediate impact-- that's the fact.

Yeah thats right, I forgot, you sold and bought bought PYPL.
You missed that 9% 2 day move too.

And why own both PYPL and AFRM?
PYPL is crowded, and AFRM is the current story stock.
I wouldn't touch this sector right now. If you want to bottom fish there however, SQ would be the one I'd buy. On a dip to $55 that is.
You really need to consult me more Stoney. Seriously.

  5. IMAX (IMAX) CEO Richard Gelfond is more bullish than ever on the theatrical experience.

The executive told Yahoo Finance Live on Monday he believes the box office will reach pre-pandemic levels "probably later this year or next year," adding companies like Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) have helped buoy sentiment amid their recently announced theatrical-first strategies.

"The narrative to go right to streaming has been thrown away. That experiment just didn't work. It failed," Gelfond said. Thus I am selling shares in my own company.

  7. Sometimes being an Active Trader means you are a bit of a detective. Even the smallest bits of news can prick up your ears...

I have never heard of Intelligent Bio but apparently they have something to sell...

I wouldn't touch it right now.
It'll take out yesterday's lows here in a week or so. Whatever the high is in the next three days, that'll be the top for a bit. Lots of put buyers yesterday. The whales won't let them make any money. If it drops out of the gate today, take it long for a daytrade.
