Great Week-! There were doubters, people thought the Naz would go down, all looked lost, The DOW had given back all of it's gains for the year, interest rates had spiked; a Mortgage is now 7%. Then more hot economic numbers and for sure we flush through that 200 day and set off the computers and what did gummybear advisors do? Buy Buy Buy. It's an abject lesson in never following the masses. THIS IS RADIO SAVANT-!

UPDATE- The main reason GBA loves cyclical stocks is when you catch them at the right time they really move! BUT... What goes up must come down... We will shortly be in a tricky situation here... 1 year DOWN 33% YTD UP 24%. I seem to remember in a past thread here alot of AA action in the low $70's I think we used to buy it for rides up to $77. Time Is Your Friend. S&P 500 jumps nearly 2% for the week as traders come to grips with Fed stance Why did stocks go up? One reason for sure is time. Time has smoothed out many of the charts and made certain break outs possible. But it also disguises things, are we really making progress or just marking off horrible times? In general when interest rates spike up and the concept of getting a mortgage dims, there is a panic that sets in and when Bond yields hit that certain number was it 3% no it was 4% No wait is it 5% stocks fall. Round numbers have some greater mental significance but the greater point is once you get to to a abnormally high level of interest rates and spend some TIME THERE the market gets used to it a bit. And so when the talking heads on TV were absolutely losing their mind over some bond print.. the market yawned because 4.8% or 5% it's all the same until we near 6%. And the dance continues.
