I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT AT ALL. Sorry. Sell you mean buy Puts? I'm hoping Iger says something to get the stock moving UP. Looking at CALLS
I hate the mumbo jumbo language of Options they always say this stuff to me... way to may options in options! Just keep it simple. THE SYSTEM = 100% success.
Well, I said to sell this week's 117 calls. You own the shares right? You'll get $1/contract. Use that $1 and apply it to the 2/24 117 calls which cost $1.50 You'll be out of pocket for $0.50 If you think it will take out $117 this week after earnings and you prefer not to do the above, then just buy the 2/10 $117's for $1. But I got the feeling you didn't think it would take out $117 this week and wanted more time. Soooo, the smart way to do that, assuming your "system" is 100% (another Stoney earnings coin-toss on a stock everyone in the world owns ) ... but assuming you're right, what I outlined above is the smart way to play it. If a calendar call spread is too hard to comprehend... then just buy the 2/24 $117 calls for $1.50. But if you're wrong, I'd rather lose $50/contract than $150/contract.
So I'm watching whatever show that is that comes on before Cramer on cnbc, the one Mellissa Lee hosts, and they start talking about Pinterest. Here's the new tech mantra folks: "well at least they make money". rotff The stock then goes from being down 10%+, to being down like 1.7% in the matter of minutes. >>Why? Carter likes it. Sooooo... the company forecasts low single digit growth going forward, no guidance beyond the next quarter, they miss forecast revenue by a decent amount for the last quarter, it trades at 200X cashflow, 8X revenue, forward PE of 48.... and an EV/EBITDA of (a whopping)100 and friggin thirty.... "But at least they make money." Oooookay. I mean wtf? It's like... "wellllll, if you're gonna be stupid and you have to own tech..." You go Carter. Opportunity of a lifetime. I for one, if I had to chose... I think I'd rather own postage stamps or those Silver Dollars they advertise on cable tv all day. Whatever.
An industrial gas company is forecasting 12% growth, yet by every metric, it trades at 1/100th the value of Pinterest and their low single digit forecast. "But at least they make money." ~cnbc Linde sees 9-12% earnings growth in 2023 after quarterly beat REUTERS 6:14 AM ET 2/7/2023 Feb 7 (Reuters) - Linde(LIN),, the world's largest industrial gases company, on Tuesday forecast growth of 9-12% in 2023 earnings per share excluding currency headwinds after better-than-expected fourth-quarter profit. Does Mrs Stoney use Pinterest? I've never met anyone that does. Ask. Check with your girlfriend at the gym. I think you get recipes from them. Not sure. Maybe she learned how to make spinach meatballs there. Lets get it to $34 so we can use your "system" to find out which puts to buy.
