AI-driven ETF doubles the returns of the S&P 500 in January

With ChatGPT generating significant chatter in the early days of 2023, AI has become a significant topic of conversation on Wall Street. Against that backdrop, an actively managed ETF that makes its trading decisions based on artificial intelligence has outperformed all three benchmark equity indices in January.

The AI Powered Equity ETF (NYSEARCA:AIEQ), which uses the IBM Watson for machine learning and natural language processing to guide its operation, gained 11.7% in the month of January. This means AIEQ doubled the monthly returns of the S&P 500 and its mirroring (SPY), (NYSEARCA:VOO) and (IVV) funds.

    Seasonality is more than that.
Prices are created by economic and business developments. Economic cycles repeat themselves and also profits and losses of companies repeat themselves. Seasonality is the result of repetition in reality.
The question is how to find good seasonal patterns and when is an optimal environment to take advantage of them.
As with any approach, lasting profit comes only from professional implementation.

  9. losses of companies repeat themselves.-?

Your drifting further off base. The only seasonal pattern that matters is the most important handful of trading days. You can't miss those but they come at all times of all cycles. You never know when...

Prices are created by.... those that are willing to pay the price.

  10. Now JUNE SWOON- Yes Of course.

My birthday is in June and I can tell you for a fact I'm never making money around my birthday

    June Gloom
The term June Gloom comes from the fog that often thickly collects on the west coast beginning during the month of June, and normally remains a daily occurrence through much of the summer months. As you can imagine, west coast investors began to tie their gray, cool mornings with the summer slowdown we just discussed regarding the concept of Sell in May and Go Away.:sneaky:

As you can see from the adjacent chart, June has been a very weak month to invest. In fact, it is the worst performing month over the past decade.
