CES 2023: Lidar specialist Cepton to showcase new automotive lidar solutions Koito management will be present to share information about partnership with Cepton and plan for further collaboration... CES Cepton's CES plan: Show investors lidar tech is ready for prime time Lidar company Cepton has a contract with GM and wants to use CES to sign up more customers in 2023.
There were a few advances at CES that willmake a difference.- One there was a huge TV with no wires. Zero wires. That's big. And it's a big TV. When will they do this for normal sized sets? In the world of Meta<---- HTC Vive XR Elite The XR Elite is a VR headset with mixed reality that looks almost, at some angles, like glasses. HTC The HTC Vive XR Elite is the latest version of HTC's VR/AR headset and based on our time with it, might be the best Vive so far when it releases in late February of this year $1,099. Yes, we've seen VR headsets before, so what make this one special? The main reason it's on this list is its size. HTC has shrunken the VR headset down to almost normal glasses size, making less than half the weight of the Quest Pro VR headset. If you wear glasses normally, you; won't need to wear there while using this. The adjusting dials, or diopters can change the lens prescription in real time, meaning the user needn't wear glasses at all. That's a really useful feature if it works as well as expected. As a person who wears glasses, but has soured on VR in the last few years, the combination of the XR Elite's light small chassis and the no-glasses requirement makes VR a much more appealing prospect to me. >>>> Couple breakthroughs here, getting the glasses smaller is important someone like me is never going to put on a big stupid pair. >>>> Also not wearing glasses is a nice feature. This has stymied me before going snorkeling or deep sea diving (that and sharks)

January 03, 2023 09:00 AM Eastern Standard Time SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cepton, Inc. (“Cepton” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: CPTN), a Silicon Valley innovator of high-performance lidar solutions, announced today the unveiling of its groundbreaking new lidar, the Vista®-X120 Plus. “Cepton was one of the firsts to scale lidar for high-volume, multi-vehicle model deployment through our flagship lidar program” Tweet this The Vista-X120 Plus is the world’s slimmest software definable, top-end automotive lidar for real-time adaptive 3D perception. Embodying the automotive industry’s biggest trends – safety, autonomy, software definability and electrification – it packs Cepton’s next-generation innovations, enhancing lidar performance without compromising reliability, size, power efficiency and cost. This game-changing lidar has been recognized in the CES 2023 Innovation Award program in the Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility category and will be showcased at booth No. 5553, LVCC – West Hall during CES in Las Vegas, NV, from January 5 – 8, 2023. The Vista-X120 Plus advances Cepton’s vision for mass-market lidar adoption. Expanding on Cepton’s commercially scalable Vista-X90 lidar, which will be deployed in the Company’s flagship ADAS lidar series production program, the Vista-X120 Plus offers significantly higher performance and embeddability: a 500% increase in data rate, 30° wider field of view, over 20% reduction in size and 50% reduction in height. Featuring a software definable region of interest (ROI), the Vista-X120 Plus enables higher dynamic perception capabilities. Its tunable central field of view with increased angular resolution enables higher accuracy in the detection and classification of key objects in a given driving scenario. The ROI is configurable in real time in both horizonal and vertical directions, unlocking a higher level of intelligence and efficiency, while making the lidar sensor versatile and adaptive to various use cases – same hardware, flexible adoption. With a production size of 140 (W) x 30 (H) x 150 (D) mm, the Vista-X120 Plus offers an unparalleled combination of slimness, compactness and embeddability. Its footprint is ~50% slimmer and smaller than the competition, enabling greater OEM integration and placement options without disrupting vehicle appearance. “The Vista-X120 Plus’ upgraded scanning mechanism enables extremely dense point clouds, while simplifying software algorithms for efficient sensor calibration and dynamic perception,” said Cepton’s CTO and Co-Founder Dr. Mark McCord. “Our proprietary ASIC chip enables optimal signal processing to further maximize lidar efficiency and performance. The tunable ROI helps the vehicle perception better focus on potential hazards across different driving scenarios. In spite of its significantly elevated performance and flexibility, the Vista-X120 Plus consumes less than 18 W of power, which is exceptional for long-range lidars and will be important for integration into electric vehicles.”
193,000 + Listeners-! RADIO SAVANT HAS SET A NEW STANDARD-! There has never been an investment thread with as many wins to it's credit. There has never been an investor who hit on 44 big winners in a row. Never has one thread had so many 100% winners Voted- Most topical! Voted- Best rated! Voted No 1 Stock Thread in the world! There is no other active stock thread with GBA's viewership. I have promised to shut down the main generator and to depart from Portugal waters. I have done that. Now in the bush, illegal, I float between Islands in the Caribbean looking for peaks to climb so I get off one more idea or two to you all but this MUST STOP! I cannot keep doing this. I am tired. Someone must step up and start anew thread and I will chirp in occasionally. Someone else needs to step up. I don't think the servers at ET can can handle 200K! It's never been done!!! I fly back to NYC Sunday for the Giant game and Monday for my date with Dr Doom my New Dentist... Please use this time to figure out who is starting the new thread and what it will be called? TY ~stoney
Stoney... shut up already. I have watched this stock for years, I know how it acts. You get some hair-brained idea because some SA article mentions it and the CES togethor and you all the sudden think a stock is gonna run. Those ideas don't work Stoney. Sure they may get a pop off of the article, but it goes away. Now if you trade that, more power to you... but go back and look at how many of your calls I said were a terrible idea that in a relatively short period of time, proved me right. So just because i criticize your stock picks, don't start crying like a teenage girl who someone called fat on Snapchat. Where did I say I bought those puts? I didn't. I threw it out there because one, its fun to mess with you, and two, it is in fact a good trade. Yeah, LOGI went up yesterday... but did you happen to notice nearly EVERY high beta stock went up 5%? Duh. Don't be stupid. And that is a good trade. Like I said, Feb exp is a long ways off. If my thoughts change, I'll say so. Unlike you, I keep the readers informed. I hardly think an option with 2 months to exp going down a dime is a big deal. When the tide goes out, it'll take LOGI with it and those puts will net 50% easy. So no one called you fat Stoney, we have 200k views because of what we BOTH bring to the table. I thought lizards had tough skin, so toughen up and quit crying.
But wait, there's more!! You sit here and brag like you are god's gift to the stock-picking world, and in reality you're delusional. I can't figure out if it's the marijuana, you're bipolar, or both. But either way, lets take Thursday for example. You post no less than 8 "idea" stocks that you got from that day's upgrades, an SA article, or whatever. And I'm sure you read dozens and as you have said before, you "filter them out". But your filters are based on whims of fancy that you perceive are good ideas at the time looking forward. Now inevitably, one or two of these stocks go up, maybe that day, maybe that week, ... but its a shotgun approach and no one here knows what you are recommending and what you are just throwing out there. That's not skill. (Aside from your "go-times". Which are good, because they are in fact definitive. At least I've managed to institute that change in you.) But the thing that is so amusing and inevitably draws out the troll in me, is when these stocks go up and you come back and start bragging in all caps about how great you are. It's comical and it's too hard to resist on my part. Now, you wanna see skill... try reading an off the radar stock's complete earnings report... knowing exactly which variables WS will react to and how because you have followed the stock for years and you know what the individual stock's metric is that will really move it aside from the headline "beat eps/missed eps/beat rev/missed rev".... do it all in 5 minutes time after the release, and come on here and post your opinion. That's skill Stoney. Did you notice AEHR went up 33% yesterday? Of course you did. Did you say one word about it? Of course you didn't. It's the small penis syndrome I think. Or youngest child. One or the other. And there's one more thing I'm going to share in closing here. You cost the readers huge money yesterday. Not because of anything you post, but because of the way you act, ie you are desperate to see me f up a call. How did that manifest itself yesterday you ask? I'll tell you how. I saw that news about WWE and I saw that the stock had gone from $72 to $78 long before the general pre-market session had opened. Now this is another stock I have traded several times over the years and it's another one I know exactly how it acts. It is one of those market-maker darling stocks that's used to burn retail shorts with. So early yesterday, before 7AM, it is sitting there at $78/$78.50 bid/ask. Up huge. I looked at the chart, pulled out my magic pencil, and I knew right away that damn thing would take out $85 easy during regular hours. Why? Because rookie retail shorts would jump on the story, realizing it's not a big deal and the stock is overpriced... and the MM's would f them 8 ways to next Tuesday by lifting the stock to the high heavens. And that is exactly what it did. What was the high? $89 and change? And it closed right at $85... exactly as I thought it would. I even wrote the post. But you know what, I decided not to post it because I knew that if those job numbers or whatever, were used as an excuse to drop the S&P 3% instead of vice-versa, WWE stock may not have played out as I anticipated and I didn't want to hear about it all morning from you while I'm trading and concentrating. Shame on me for letting that bother me while I'm concentrating , but as I said, our back and forward banter is hard for me to resist. But in all seriousness, in that regard, your demeanor on OUR thread here, cost the readers a gold-mine no brainer daytrade. Other than that... who loves ya Stoney?! We'll be pulling for your Giants! Safe flight.
"So where is this Mr. Stoney? Van said he'd be here." "Look... I know the game is important, but I have to find this Stoney character. He talks too much bs about me. Says I owe him a tee-shirt or something. For stock-picking" "Don't worry Jim, Van said he'd call back. He'll get you Stoney's seat number." "Ah-Hahaha.... Van really comes thru doesn't he? Look at Stoney down there in those cheap-seats. He must have had a horrible year in the markets." "What else did Van say Jim? You were on the phone for quite a while there, we're supposed to be enjoying this game." "Hell with the game Frank!!! Van just told me he'd keep providing me with all his original, winning stock picks in 2023. I'm stoked!" "But what about Stoney Jim, don't you feel bad? He's down there freezing his ass off and we're up here all warm and cozy drinking Mai-Tai's and watching our Eagles kick ass." "Naaaa... I don't feel bad, he needs to learn to talk less and listen more. At least he has Van though. Hey before I forget, do me one favor Frank..." "Sure Jim, anything." "Make sure the staff gets that tee-shirt in the mail to Van tomorrow morning."
