It's confusing Stoney, there was a 15% dividend paid to shareholders from FG.
    It was like $2.70.
That's why it dropped from $40.50

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE: FNF) ("FNF" or the "Company"), a leading provider of title insurance and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries and a leading provider of insurance solutions serving retail annuity and life customers and institutional clients through FNF's subsidiary, F&G Annuities & Life, Inc. ("F&G"), today announced completion of the distribution to FNF shareholders, on a pro rata basis, of approximately 15% of the common stock of its subsidiary, F&G. Effective today, F&G has commenced "regular-way" trading of its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") under the symbol "FG". FNF retains control of F&G through an approximate 85% equity ownership stake and will continue to trade on the NYSE under the symbol "FNF".

William P. Foley, II, Chairman of the Board of FNF, commented, "We are pleased to have successfully completed our planned dividend to FNF shareholders, on a pro rata basis, of approximately 15% of F&G's common stock, which we believe will highlight the substantial equity value of F&G that has been and will continue to be created. At the time of our acquisition of F&G in June of 2020, we committed to F&G doubling assets under management to $50 billion over five years through organic growth. In just over two years, Chris and his team are well ahead of expectations with F&G's assets under management increasing to $42 billion as of the third quarter of 2022. This financial performance not only validates our initial strategy during the acquisition, it also provides confidence for the future of F&G and its ability to generate value for both FNF and F&G shareholders."

  5. It's so interesting Van the way some stocks react to dividends and some don't. If I was a quant computer couldn't I capture that downside? By simply moving against a stock that pays out a big div?

  8. Wedbush starts 'top-tier cannabis operator' Cresco Labs with an Outperform 16:22 CRLBF, CCHWF Wedbush analyst Gerald Pascarelli initiated coverage of Cresco Labs (CRLBF) with an Outperform rating and $4.50 price target. The company's Columbia Care (CCHWF) acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of Q1 of next year, "should prove transformative," but he is modeling for standalone revenue growth to re-accelerate in the coming year on more favorable comps as well as an outlook for better trends in key states. The stock is off about 80% from peak levels, which he believes is "overdone" and he sees the shares as undervalued given that the MSO "has established itself as a market leader and top-tier cannabis operator," Pascarelli tells investors.

  9. I have been suggesting in various forms that The Fed ' move the goal posts ' in regards to inflation targets. As in 3-4% being the new norm... They won't do that for a number of reasons but they will stretch out the timeline...

New York Fed's John Williams expects inflation to get to 2% goal by 2025<------------:caution:

  10. B. Riley starts 'early battery winner' Amprius with Buy, $14 target 05:58 AMPX B. Riley analyst Christopher Souther initiated coverage of Amprius Technologies with a Buy rating and $14 price target. The company's silicon nanowire anode technology is well positioned as the early battery winner for the electrification of aviation markets, Souther tells investors in a research note. While Amprius has already demonstrated "industry-leading specs," incremental improvements in cell density and cycle life "will continue to present an ongoing positive narrative for the company," says the analyst.
