StoneCo initiated with an Equal Weight at Barclays 04:50 STNE Barclays analyst John Coffey initiated coverage of StoneCo with an Equal Weight rating and $13 price target. The analyst likes the company's long-term strategy to expand outside payments and become a significant player in business-to-business software services, merchant banking and merchant credit. However, StoneCo's 2021 acquisition of Linx had fewer immediate benefits than hoped and channel checks indicate StoneCo should have moved more cautiously before making such a large acquisition, the analyst tells investors in a research note.

Ya know, I watched the CEO on a Bloomberg interview last year. I like her. I think if we give this company time, they're gonna hit the jackpot. She's on the cutting edge of tech, I pointed that out when I first highlighted it last year. Thing about this stuff is, AI is literally doing a Moore's Law type of ascent, but instead of being a 2 year double, it's more like a 2 month double. Scary really. Here's the thing though, she's using this stuff in her quest to find predictive data on stuff like cancer and Lupus (above) ... this could be your stock for real Stoney. I have a feeling 3 years out it'll be a double... but lets hear the next CC first. Not for the numbers, but for what they're doing and how it's progressing.
