  1. Be careful with Boise Ted. it is a perfect example of what s wrong with the stock market.
We are having a P moment. Price moment. Not Earn.

So BCC come out guns ablazing oh my god they crushed their number... but did they>

Boise Cascade (BCC) came out with quarterly earnings of $3.67 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.54 per share. <-- WOW

This compares to earnings of $5.49 per share a year ago. Oh......

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 44.49%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this engineered wood products and plywood company would post earnings of $1.81 per share when it actually produced earnings of $2.43, delivering a surprise of 34.25%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Boise Cascade , which belongs to the Zacks Building Products - Wood industry, posted revenues of $1.82 billion for the quarter ended June 2023, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 11.75%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $2.28 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.

Alright lets re write the PR:

Boise cascade earn dropped from $5.49 to $3.67
Revenue fell from $2.28 Billion to $1.82 Billion

The stock adds 48%<----------------------------- There Is A Reckoning Coming /// as soon as we get this ZIG out of the way and Zag again....

All of these gains have been P.
    Not E.

That is a a problem. My PT for Boise would be between $90-$100/ with a shot at $83.
    NOT A SAFE STOCK.

  3. AMLX

Obviously this late buy Friday is Next Week's Focus Stock--
    I'm excited.

My thesis is that Europe will change their tune. Europe had a no decision on their drug which did not seem to me to be final. Since then Canada has said YES AND THE US IS ALREADY AT A YES,

    EUROPE WILL COME-

Amylyx Pharmaceuticals’ amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) drug Relyvrio is a good drug. Europe needs it. I don't know the eeact reason their board recommended no.

Approved in the U.S. as Relyvrio and in Canada under a different brand name, the drug brought in $98.2 million in revenue during the second quarter, Amylyx said Thursday. The haul topped analysts’ consensus estimates of below $92 million, according to Mizuho Securities.

Having annual revenue now tracking at $400 million after just four quarters of commercialization is no easy feat, Mizuho analyst Graig Suvannavejh, Ph.D., said in a Friday note. Besides, a strong balance sheet—Amylyx had $357 million cash as of June—means the company “faces no existential need to raise capital—an increasingly daunting challenge given a difficult equity capital markets environment,” he said.

Chuckle.. that doesn't mean they won't.////

    THESIS->
Almost all patients living with ALS have an insurance policy covering Relyvrio. Around 75% of the top 500 prescribers and almost all top ALS treatment centers in the U.S. have prescribed the drug, Amylyx’s commercial chief Margaret Olinger said.

Outside North America, Amylyx is fighting a negative opinion from drug reviewers at the European Medicines Agency. The EU regulator is expected to make a final decision this fall.

That Decision will be a reversal to " YES "

  5. I had no idea--> One Spa was a SPAC-! Now it all makes sense and gives us a better idea of success because we are indeed over $10.

Now this age long slog at $11 doesn't look so bad- with many SPAC's at $2.

OSW enjoys a near monopoly ~95% market share for onboard spa services and counts NCLH, RCL and CCL as its top 3 partners. Renewal rates with its cruise line partners is nearly 100%, and contracts are staggered among its partners. The company is also expanding its offerings and partnered with Xponential Fitness(XPOF) and Princess Cruises(owned by Carnival) to provide group fitness classes.

Because it's a SPAC we have to view al the PIPE crap and debt and there's alot to sort through here with One Spa to make along story short they are paying down their debt and have some large shaerholders who could help if they wanted to. And They might.

If OSW can re org more debt and create a better balance sheet the large short postion would unravel. Many on the short side actually hold Warrents and are shorting the sock!

Any balance sheet transaction from Haymaker or SL (two large Warent holders) could result in a situation whereby short sellers need to cover. OSW shares are tightly held among insiders and 5% shareholders, or nearly about 65-70% of the shares, leaving only about 30 million shares in the free float based on 100 million shares outstanding post warrant conversions.

    OSW OneSpaWorld Holdings Limited-A SPAC!

  7. HOUSE REPORT-

The House Of Gummy is strong! Van is back and a changed man. We agree on Tilray!
I have to say I have never ever made money on a POT stk bet-- I have been wrong every time and I have tried about three.

But Tilray is not just a Pot stock is it?

Now I have never been fortunate enough to have one of my stocks labeled a Meme. Who does this labeling and where the Meme action starts I do not know... online somewhere... Reddit, StockTwits, Robin Hood I don't know..

Could Tilray become a Meme stk? Is it one already? Where is the list?>

I can never buy a stk just because A) Others are or B) some sort of Meme group buying but
Tilray offers more... Are we Not A real Craft Brew player now?

And from what I can tell in these freezers in Ct, Craft beer is very strong now.

  8. Tilray is on track to become a major competitor in American beer
Though it was originally a cannabis business, Tilray had a craft beer lineup before the deal that was starting to look impressive. Its six brands were gaining traction, with the beer segment's revenue growing 43% year over year to reach more than $32 million in its fiscal fourth quarter (ended May 31). It also posted slightly stronger gross margins.

Regional brands like Montauk Brewing were starting to expand outside their home areas, and some of SweetWater Brewing's more experimental beers appeared to be finding a market. Likewise, Tilray's alcohol distribution business expanded by 19% compared to a year prior, bringing in $73 million.

Now Tilray looks like it could become a beer giant, for several reasons. Per the terms of the acquisition, which is for an undisclosed sum of cash, it'll be able to use Anheuser-Busch's distribution networks to compete in the U.S. market, including its partnered distributors. That's a gargantuan network, which distributes practically everywhere in the country.<__ HUGE-!!

Tilray will also have four new brewing facilities, up from its pre-acquisition total of only two. In other words, its production capacity has tripled while its distribution capacity is becoming incalculably higher. And those are bullish factors for the stock's future.

Buying these beer brands shows that the company is serious about its ambitions to become one of the top 10 brewers in the U.S. by revenue. Owning the rights to popular products like Shock Top's Belgian White <-- That's my jam.makes it a credible competitor in the space, and will likely help to generate free cash flow (FCF)in the near future. Furthermore, when looking at the craft beer market in isolation, it'll become the fifth-largest player, with a market share of around 5%.

In total, management is expecting to bring in around $300 million in alcohol revenue annually, with $250 million of that coming specifically from the newly purchased craft beer brands. Tilray didn't even need to go through the effort of building the value of the brands it's buying, but it will capture the competitive advantage of some consumer loyalty nonetheless.

Beyond that, there are a few ancillary benefits to the purchase. Tilray will pick up eight new brewpubs on top of the four it already owns, which means that more consumers will have exposure to its beers. There should also be some cost synergies to realize, though there hasn't been an estimate of how much those might be worth, or when they might be reported (after the deal's closing, sometime before the end of the year).

The cannabis tie-in will be huge, eventually
There's one other giant benefit to Tilray's acquisition of these beer brands. If and when cannabis is legalized in the U.S., the company will be able to use its soon-to-be gargantuan distribution network to sell its marijuana products everywhere, like it currently does in its home market of Canada. That will give it a major edge over other domestic marijuana businesses, which it'll need to make up for the fact that it doesn't currently have any presence in the U.S. marijuana industry due to the plant's illegality at the federal level. Plus, the distribution network will bolster the capabilities of the U.S.-based company calledMedMenthat it plans to acquire a minority stake in upon national-level legalization.

For now, investors await more information about how much the deal cost. The company only has $207 million in cash and $242 million in liquid investments, and its trailing-12-month (TTM) cash burn was roughly $102 million. So there are some clear limits on how much of an outlay it could be making, though it's possible that taking out new debt could finance the transaction.
