  2. Yahoo Finance has really been crap lately. For a year the articles have been in a death spiral and they have these really annoying snippits that when you click to you can't get the story Barons, Wall St Journal etc.

I found today a pretty good site it's laid out oddly but type your stocks symbol in and search and you will cut through a lot of clutter and find some pertinent articles to click.

  6. YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T NOTICE BUT INFLATION WENT UP.

The CPI climbed 3.2% // it was 3% last reading.

Next Reading will be over 3.2%...

I know what you are saying... No way stoney..No way not this too-- but I have been saying for he longest time that inflation would start ticking up at 3% and go BACK TO 4% and not a talking head out there agreed with me... including all the stuffed suits on CNBC...

    Well it's happening.

  8. I am certainly no expert on electric cars. But I wonder if we aren't seeing a shake out right now.

And left standing in my view is Rivian.

  9. I think the answer for Rivian is lower prices not higher prices and how do they get there?

Meanwhile, Rivian hiked the price of its R1T electric pickup around 17% in March. That increased the base cost to about $78,975 from $67,500. The price of the R1S SUV jumped about 20%, bringing the new base price to about $84,000 from $70,000. All prices are before federal tax credits.

Rivian's vehicles are also not currently eligible for full $7,500 EV tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The company's pickup truck and the SUV both meet the standards for $3,750 tax credit, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website.

    Rivian Stock
RIVN fell 9.9% on Aug. 9 after second-quarter earnings. Rivian stock remains up about 29% higher so far this year. However, RIVN shares are off 19% in August, following a three-month rally. Shares are trading about 70% below their IPO price of $78.

  10. Peter Lynch Dept-

My wife is an egg snob-

Big time. She like the farmer 's market eggs and that super yellow yolk no processing and whatever they do to make eggs not taste that great. And there is a HUGE difference between really good farm stand eggs and what you buy in the supermarket.

That's why my ears perked up when she went to the local Morton Williamson under egg duress-we didn't have any- and she bought some organic eggs from Vital Farms and gave them a very nice review!!!
