I have said for years that tech should be used in auto-glass. Windows on cars should be blacked out when they're parked, especially in areas like Vegas, Phoenix, etc. Even as we transition to EV's, that would save a lot of juice being drawn from the batteries when the AC first kicks on. The inside temperature of a vehicle can easily get above 120 Fahrenheit in the summer. Blacked out windows while parked with a little low power ventilation fan, would keep the inside at ambient temperature pretty much. That would be a big plus for EV's. Plus variable tint would also be great because it could be completely off at night, which is much safer than these idiots that drive around with that limo tint on their cars. That stuff makes it very difficult to see at night, which is why it's supposed to be illegal in many states. An after-market variable tint... would be a big seller. I'd buy it. So we have oem and aftermarket. I'll send it to Elon, he can add to my royalty checks.
