GBA Presents: House of Gummy-!

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by stonedinvestor, May 13, 2023.

  1. As for the next thread title if there is to be one. I'm thinking because of the election I might do a real CONSPIRATORIAL -laden thread and similar to Q I would be omnipresent and vague and apocalyptic and the thread would be called:

GBA Presents: I AM X.- Do we like?

Regarding Jasper I have some red flags. They were once a SPAC that went to $100?>
and they did a 1-10 reverse stk split...

Jasper made its stock market debut in September after merging with Amplitude Healthcare Acquisition Corporation. The special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, fueled the biotech with more than $100 million to develop its lead candidate, JSP191. This is a potential first-in-class antibody designed to deplete stem cells from bone marrow by targeting the stem cell factor receptor called CD117.

We did have one huge bio/SPAC winner Moonlight Therapeutics
they got bought... and we made like bandits/
...and a reverse split does shrink the shares although they have come to market since.

Stuff to think about. I'm surprised all these legitimate Houses are positive on the name when they surely have been burned by this co on the way down.

    Some stuff to think about.

  2. During 2024, Energy Fuels expects to sell 200,000 pounds of uranium into its existing portfolio of long-term contracts, which is expected to occur in Q1 2024. In addition, a utility customer has the option to purchase an additional 100,000 pounds of uranium from Energy Fuels in 2024. The Company holds uncommitted inventory and, with the benefit of future production, will continue to evaluate additional spot and/or long-term uranium sales opportunities during 2024 and beyond.

In addition to the Company's uranium business, the Company will also continue to advance its REE program at the Mill in 2024 to fully capitalize on the Mill's unique and valuable capabilities. As previously announced, the Mill is in the process of installing the capacity to produce up to 1,000 tonnes of neodymium-praseodymium ("NdPr") oxide per year, subject to receipt of sufficient monazite feed. This capacity is expected to be completed in Q1 2024. This quantity of NdPr oxide could power up to 1 million electric vehicles ("EVs") per year. At the current time, the Company expects to produce roughly 60 – 80 tonnes of NdPr oxide in 2024, as it ramps-up and optimizes the newly installed circuit. The Mill's REE production capacity is complementary to its uranium operating capacity and is not intended to diminish the Mill's future uranium production profile in any way. The Company expects to provide additional updates on future monazite supply in the coming weeks/months.

MARK S. CHALMERS, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF ENERGY FUELS STATED:
"Due to the substantial increase in uranium prices, U.S. government support for nuclear energy and nuclear fuel, and a global focus on reducing carbon-emissions, Energy Fuels is resuming large-scale uranium production. Uranium spot prices are currently near $90per pound, which is the highest level seen since 2007 when the uranium spot price reached a high of$135per pound, or over$200per pound on an inflation-adjusted basis. Energy Fuels is recognized globally as a dependable U.S. uranium supplier that operates to the highest environmental, safety, and efficiency standards. Energy Fuels has made the required investments over the past several years to prepare for today's uranium markets, and we are uniquely positioned to successfully resume U.S. uranium production in 2024. This is evidenced by our production of roughly two-thirds of all uranium produced in the U.S. over the past five years.

"In addition to aggressively restarting uranium production, we will also continue to rapidly advance our rare earth element processing and other plans, which are expected to become significant value streams that complement our core uranium business. Our shareholders will receive "multi-commodity" exposure in the 'Energy Transition' space. Numerous established and emerging clean energy technologies require specialized advanced materials produced from minerals that are naturally radioactive when they are mined, due to the presence of uranium and other elements. Energy Fuels is uniquely capable of processing these minerals and producing a number of these advanced materials. I know of no other public company in the world that can potentially execute these unique plans on the scale we have planned.

    >> Alright couple things spot Uranium reached a 16 year high of $106 and has come back down to $82 and is now $88 turned back up. //

    >> Also amazing spot by me on the utility. Due to Biden prompting I would think the Utility would be accepting that extra order and that's 50% more income*** Could be a huge kicker and I see it happening./

Hey Stoney... since you don't count the losers until you sell... may I point out a little simple logic here?

Considering the incredible run the overall market has had since October... if one has post 90 plus "ideas", or "we're in this one".... and you don't count ANY of the losers.... I'm pretty sure Muttley could go 37-0.

I mean if you don't count the losers... you can't NOT achieve a perfect record. Whatever. :banghead:

One... no it's not. And two... that's because you're either too stupid (or too cheap) to hire a professional tax attorney that knows what they're doing.

Either way though... you can have your (paper?) gains here on ET.... but I'll take hard core, real world assets accumulated over time that only keep going up year after year... and maybe dump one or two when I feel like it.... over any of the BS you endure trying to trade money (That you were born into) in an attempt to game people that are 1000X smarter, a 100,000X better equipped with data, and pockets that are 10,000,000X deeper than you could ever fathom.

Some of us make real $'s Stoney.... but I must admit regarding (your spineless backdown) of taking me up on a stock picking portfolio challenge... you did get one part right... I do consider WS a game. It's the best game in the world. Chess is fun against a worthy competitor, but nothing beats the challenge of WS.

Now with all that said however... the couple self directed IRA's I buy stocks for, and occasionally sell.... (and not that I even give a f about them in reality)---100% sure they have smoked anything you have offered up here in your fantasy land over the last 20 years bro. They are not here today, gone tomorrow stocks. Gravy for me. And entertainment. But pa-leeze... you bragging about your tax bill... --->right. That's the province of a poser.

I just went back and counted every stock pick I've ever made here at ET, and since "I haven't sold any of the losers yet".... my record is a whopping 249 in a row!:wtf:

Since the year 2000, if you don't include their losses... the NY Giants have an amazing 158-0 record!

  9. The first stock we want to think about is Natera. This idea came from a female portfolio manager on CNBC interview. She had a few picks but really made a nice case for NTRA and their testing abilities in cancer. This is a $90 stk and we all know the age-old Wall Street saying stocks that hit $90 / Hit $100.

"Natera, Inc.(NASDAQ:NTRA) is a leader in cell-free DNA diagnostics, primarily dedicated to oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Their goal is making personalized genetic testing and diagnosis part of the standard of care to drive earlier and targeted interventions to improve patient outcomes. NTRA has developed a leadership position with tests like Signatera in oncology, Panaroma for NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing), and Prospera for organ transplant assessment. Signatera addresses a newer area of oncology testing called MRD (minimum residual disease), which is experiencing significant growth and in which NTRA has an early mover advantage. After years of heavy investment to drive revenue growth, NTRA continues to deliver solid topline growth and is now on the cusp of being cash flow positive."

That was pulled from some mutual fund's letter (I'll get you the name)

We are very close to Fred Alger management and they chimed in on the name: (I remember posting this before)

Alger Weatherbie Specialized Growth Fund stated the following regarding Natera, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTRA) in its fourth quarter 2023 investor letter:

“Natera, Inc.(NASDAQ:NTRA) is a specialty lab providing genetic testing services in the reproductive health, oncology and transplant markets. Reproductive health tests are run to screen for common genetic disorders such as trisomy 13, 18. and 21 in pregnant women these tests are also known as non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) The company’s oncology franchise is led by Signatera, a test used to detect minimal residual disease (MRD) the applications of this test are primarily to monitor therapy response and detect cancer recurrence Lastly Natera s transplant franchise is led by Prospera, a test used to monitor transplant organ rejection, Natera stests are all based on the company s proprietary liquid biopsy platform to detect cell-free DNA. During the quarter, shares contributed to performance primarily driven by strong fiscal third quarter results. Specifically. better-than-expected fiscal third quarter revenue, Signatera test volume, and gross margins all came in above analyst estimates, which led to management increasing their fiscal full year guidance.”

Is This an IRA worthy stock? I'm thinking that through. I'll take a quick look at Insider activity but this is the idea we want to get into this week.

**Also potential for a big sell off Fri. Believe we have jobs number 200,000+ so that plays a factor as well...

    makes for tricky trading.
