Yes I'm sure it did but some would prefer to use a little more integrity rather than a conditioned emotional response when confronted with things of life and death.

btw: turning religious may help parole. Turning gay probably won't.

  3. Happens to everybody?
Uuuuggghhh..... no. Lots of atheist parents out there.

Might as well say something like....

...and im pretty sure when TM dies, he will find nothing.

I just love silly theist mythology. Makes em feel better.

Guess what... there are atheists in fox holes too!

Now back to the subject.... WHY should gays not be
given the same rights again? Still havent heard a good reason.

I predict this thread will turn into religion debate. We have axe, stu, gekko now waiting only for optional and thunderbolt to join in :) BTW: Vatican says homosexual sex is a.. sin! LOL

Question to alfonso: are your feelings the same when you look at two kissing women as when you look at two kissing men? I think society treats lesbians as more "normal" than gays.

It can, though it shouldn't. For one thing, gays have been exchanging vows in churches for years. For another, it really has nothing to do with whether or not gay marriage should be allowed since religious arguments can't be brought into it.

  6. Gay men, specifically, seem to catch all the crap for 2 reasons.

    1) They somehow threaten heterosexual mens machismo.
( Which is why a larger percentage of women have no issue with it)

    2) Religious beliefs.

I think it may be more of the first than the second.....but also because they are different, just like Negro's/Jews have caught crap for a long time.....

  8. Are you a "pitcher"or a "catcher"????:D

seriously though, I think they should have protected rights but I don;t believe they should be getting 'married"...I still have not heard why they need to be married....to have children?
...and at one point do we stop? where does some sense of normalcy creep in? another poster brought up a good point and im hoping you and Gordon will answer honestly:

    1) Should a 45 year old man who is in love with his 21 year old daughter be able to marry her? (they are not hurting anybody)

    2) Should a Brother and sister be able to marry? ( please no response from anyone from Arkansas)

when does it stop? where's the line?

And I still haven't heard why straight couples who don't want children should be allowed to marry . . .

  10. they'd be hurting their children should they put one in the oven...i believe that is why those marriages are illegal. reproduction between closely related people produces severely retarded offspring.
