It can, though it shouldn't. For one thing, gays have been exchanging vows in churches for years. For another, it really has nothing to do with whether or not gay marriage should be allowed since religious arguments can't be brought into it.
Gay men, specifically, seem to catch all the crap for 2 reasons. 1) They somehow threaten heterosexual mens machismo. ( Which is why a larger percentage of women have no issue with it) 2) Religious beliefs. peace axeman
