Gathering mutual fund historical data?

Discussion in 'Data Sets and Feeds' started by 99atlantic, Feb 5, 2006.

  1. Is anybody aware of a similar service that's free, like yahoo finance, where you can gather historical mutual fund information?

I mean, if you want closed-end fund info, it's as easy as popping the symbol into yahoo and taking the stuff - but mutual funds....no idea....like if I wanted the last 5yrs of history for the AGF asian growth fund, no idea how to pull it off yahoo (if you even can) or where to get the, say, last 5yrs for free???

  2. ????................contact the fund directly.

  3. yea, but see, if there are 200funds I want data for, I'm not going to be doing that.....I just want to punch it up and download it :p

Like here, let's say you go to yahoo and pull up the agf asian growth - AGC*ASI.TO

there's no historical data available for it. Hmmmm.

  4. I have heard good things about the mutual fund data at www dot fasttrack dot net . But you pay money for it. It's not free.

  5. I tried their stuff a while back, didn't have everything I needed unfortunately :(

I need something that's like globefund.com's database, except free, hehe ^_^
