Actually no. I have a friend who's looking into this rather intensely. The technology is sound in theory. I just don't know about the actual equipment. If it is valid, even in a limited way, can the practicality be far behind with oil at this pricing?
Yeah, I'm thinking there can't be a 1 to 1 return ratio. It takes energy to make energy. But if the trade off is you lose some water.... This might prove quite interesting. If there is some validity in the technology, I say explore it. Do the oil powers REALLY want to take the chance here? There's just enough public anger flowing out there.
