    I did sort of hint at it either yesterday or two days ago after the tariffs announcement. I thought Trump was bluffing per usual, but this points towards no.

    At this rate, pretty soon the White House is going to need to hire immigrant labor to "do those jobs that Americans refuse to do."

    When a country (USA) is losing many billions of dollars on trade with virtually every country it does business with, trade wars are good, and easy to win. Example, when we are down $100 billion with a certain country and they get cute, don’t trade anymore-we win big. It’s easy!

    I think he doesn't understand how being the worlds reserve currency works. People sell shit to USA. They get dollars. Dollar stays strong. This means cheap US financing.

    If he wants to be truly competitive, US dollar needs to come down massively. That means not being the reserve currency anymore. Weak(er) dollar... more expensive financing. This will hurt the US bottom line....
