============== Good points Central banks are some of its biggest fans; trend followers that study trends occasionally buy /sell. Jim Rogers has been known to sell/buy. None of this is a prediction; medium trends, long term trends are up.Also i have a bearish bias in many commodities short term. And wiht all due respect= Rich Dennis said told Jack Schwager +turtles; ''do you own research'' Amen
"Central banks are some of its biggest fans; trend followers that study trends occasionally buy /sell." of course ,like the great geniuses at bank of England who sold at a bottom of $400.
I think the consensus is that it was all Gordon Brown's idea. It was, of course, pure insanity even at twice the price. GB might not be the financial power it once was but a country like that really does need a lot more gold that it currently has to meet uncertainty. They will rue the day they traded that stash for paper. Insanity, pure and simple.
gold fetishists get real quiet when the object of their affection is limp. they had 20 years to wallow the last time. This time?
