gaps don't mean a thing

  2. think gap as a big thrust bar or pluge bar. often I fade a big thrust bar or plunge bar.

    80~90% time fade the opening in a gap up

    80~90% time go with the gap down

    that means: 80~90% time short a gap whether gap or gap down.

    only 10% time you should jump on a gap up

    only 10% time you should pick a bottom on a gap down

    I traded lots of gap, you need some fundemental analysis to trade those gaps.

    90% time if gap up/gap down, over 30~50%, buy whether gap up/ gap down.

    Unfortunately this is incorrect...

    The mechanics behind a gap..., is not the same as a bar

    How you trade it is your business.... I see no need to spread inaccuracies

    Use them if you know how to. I know traders who do. However you can be profitable without bothering about gaps.

    follow through

    pull back and continue

    or fail.

    take your pick.
