I only trade NSDQ stocks. I don't know the detail of the NYSE open, but I believe that it has a manual component and takes a lot longer to open.
If you have an entry price that you want but it is below the previous close and the new opening price is well below your desired price would it be wise to use a buy stop limit order so that you would not get filled with a falling stock and possibly make the stop and limit price the same?
