Gann??

Discussion in 'Technical Analysis' started by facultus, Oct 21, 2003.

  1. In the simplest of terms, how or why does squaring price and time lead one to a high probability trade entry or price target?

Are ganns basically the same as fibs in terms of their mystical efficacy?

I recently began to study Gann, and I have a question about retracement zones. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but to determine the retracement zone, I must draw lines on angles of 45 degrees and 62.5 degrees from P2, and a 45 degree line from P3. The points where these lines intersect should determine the retracement zone high and low. My question is, how do I know that I'm drawing a line on a proper 45 degree or 62.5 degree angle? Obviously, using a protractor might help, but only if you're certain that one measure of price equals one measure of time. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  9. Or you can use software that uses the proper calculation http://www.gannalyst.com/main.asp

    Made a few examples here

  10. Are any of you Gann guys familiar with this company or their products. I am interested in their calculator, but would like feedback from anyone with experience first.

Note - I am not associated with this site, I read about it in this month's S&C Mag. Thanks in advance.
