Geez. The collusion between the government and that casino was pretty outrageous. The casino has games that are rigged in their favor to begin with, and they break their backs to get big players in the door so those players can lose lots of money. And as long those players are losing, the casinos are popping Dom and Crystal without thinking twice. But then when a player wins big, the casino gets pissed and sues him. And then the casino wins the suit, primarily due to all the tax revenue they contribute to the local government. What a joke.

    they were using marked cards.
It is true they didnt mark the cards, it was apparently a manufacturing error that the casino didnt know about at the time. But once this was figured out the casino had the right to sue.. imo

Still pretty sloppy on the casino's part for not picking that up.

The cards were not cut correctly so the pattern wasn't exactly symmetrical. Ivey played for awhile and arranged the cards so that defect would be on one side of the card if it was a high card and on the other side if it was low. Ivey could look at the next card and determine if it was high or low based on the defect which gave him an edge over the casino.

Players having an edge over the casino is not something they will tolerate. You can play poker all you want and take other players money, the casino is okay with that.
