You're missing the point. Multiple presidents (and parties) overlap consistent trends in LFPR history. Therefore presidents are not causal.
Presidents are causal only in respect to their policies. The fact that multiple Presidents had poor policies doesn't provide reason to ignore that.
He has company, certainly. So the typical left "but...but...Bush did it too!" crap is worthless. Obama promised more than that, and that's why I voted for him the first time. The left wanted to go after Bush all the time, but forgive Obama for the same transgressions. This is a perfect example of it.
