I'm really dating myself but I met Mike at the Mr. Olympia in either 1978 or 1979. The contest was always in some other country and suddenly it was an hour away in Columbus, Ohio. The bodybuilders my friends and I saw in Muscle and Fitness magazine each month suddenly came to life. Walking around before the show we spotted Mike in the front row and I remember thinking his forearms looked bigger than my thighs at the time. I think Frank Zane won that night. Bodybuilding has changed so much since then.
Frank is one of my faves because he has a thinner body type like myself. He gives us ectomorphs hope that we can develop some decent mass along the way.
Ya that's what other guys say too but I'll likely be on this for life. Not sure how running 500mg a week for the next 40 years will turn out... I dabbled with roids earlier this year to see if it would help. It did. Big time. The dose was around 300 mg a week. I'm thinking the stuff I'm currently on might be counterfeit. Yes I'm working out. Around three times a week.
As a kid, I wanted to look like Zane. He was the least "bubbled-up" and had the best symmetry. He looked athletic, whereas most of the other guys looked stocky by comparison, irrespective of their % body fat. What I find interesting in retrospect is that, even though he was juicing like the rest of the BBs, he had the least prominent traps, the most obvious tell.
Can I ask what symptoms you have? TRT isn't supposed to make you feel like you're on a cycle. You should feel "normal" whatever that is. Even at dosages over 200mg from what I've studied seems too high to be on for extended periods of time. Anything I've read/studied the most I've seen Is 150mg once every 5 to 7 days. When dabbling did you take anything post cycle to combat the estrogen rebound? Or an aromatase inhibitor during to combat estrogen build up as well?
Baron, the drug-free physique you've acheived is nothing short of amazing. you;ve posted pics of before & after. your a beast now on just dumbells & nutrition. got to give you credit there
I felt the same way and he still looks great. Was looking at some video of Arnold and the rest training at Gold's Gym. I couldn't believe how small Arnold's waist was. They looked so much healthier than today's crop of bodybuilders.
That's because the old guys only took steroids, whereas the bodybuilders of today take way more steroids than past generations, plus the addition of growth hormone, insulin, peptides, diuretics, etc.
