  1. Yeah, but why play chicken with the gods? I might find out that I have a genetic predisposition to something unfavorable that steroids can potentially exacerbate. And so, it might not be possible to step back onto the cliff once I've stepped off. I admit my apprehension is attributed in part to my lack of familiarity with the stuff (and a bias against the unnecessary).

  2. Oh I totally agree with you. I'm not saying to do them im just saying that one cycle done "properly" shouldn't be what caused some serious health concern. Years of abuse is a completely different topic. What really gets me too is the fact that most users don't even inject properly and that in itself can actually kill you.

I have a friend who asked me to help him in his roid endeavors and I refused but he told me he was going to do them anyway so I figured I'd just help him so he wouldn't kill himself. I planned his cycle out for him. He had no clue he should take certain things post cycle. When it came to his first shot I said to him, "show me what you would have done if I wasn't here." I cringed right off the bat. Made him stop and I said take an alcohol swab to the top of the bottle before you do anything. Didn't know he should change the needle after drawing the solution. He had no clue how to aspirate a needle etc etc. and to make sure there was no air bubble in the syringe. no idea he should shoot it in the upper corner of his glute to avoid the sciatic nerve. It was a mess to say the least.

  3. How long ago was this, and what became of your friend? And is he still a "cyclist?"

  4. Maybe 5 years ago, not 100% sure. I know he's done at least one more not sure after that. He did test only, he didn't "stack" anything else with it. Seems healthy to me although I have no idea what his blood work looks like lol. Not something we really talk about. He's on and off training now. Still has pretty big arms but that's about all he's got going for him now lolol. Some friend I am.

You guys should check out the documentary on Netflix called "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" whenever you get a chance to see how rampant performance enhancing drugs are.

That was the one I saw on HBO. It is an excellent documentary. Mike Bell, one of the three Bell brothers who discuss their use of steroids and sports determination in the film, died at age 37. He was known as "Mad Dog" Mike Bell. The coroner determined his death to be an accident. He was in a rehab center at the time of his death.

I have a question about juicing during a fasting diet. I purchased an auger style juicer the other day, primarily to juice greens (spinach, romaine lettuce, green onions, broccoli, cucumbers, radishes, etc...not for fruit juicing. I don't need to add fruit juice to the green juice...I like the flavor as is. I will add a carrot, and maybe beet or beet greens from time to time, but only in small amounts to avoid too much sugar).

Would the low calorie amount in such a drink after awakening in the morning constitute a violation of the diet? I read somewhere that's it's also ok to have a few sips of whey protein at that time, though I've switched to having BCAA's instead.

I'm also experimenting with ginger juice mixed with red cabbage juice at night.

  8. Check out the warrior diet. You may like that better than an all out fast.

You'll be fine with the greens juice as long as you keep the fruit out of it. In fact, it's a great strategy for getting satiating nutrients without the calorie load or insulin spike.
