Gain capital/ futures online

  1. Anyone trade forex through gain capital? What's your experience been with them?
Ever since IB and fxcm left or were booted out of the business, there are few choices for trading forex for US residents.

You can switch to FX Futures. Do you trade directional?

FX futures aren't the best choice for people who trade a lot of non-USD crosses however. Sure you can make a synthetic but it's more hassle and margin.

  4. Yeah. What's the advantage of one over the other in terms of spreads, margin requirements, liquidity?

That might be, not within my expertise. I do like the CME as my counter-party vs my FCM. I also like it that there is one market without fragmentation.

  6. What are the bid/ask spreads like on those futures?

I can look tomorrow if I can bring them up on my CME-Direct platfrom.

Tight for the most part. FX futures are fine - it's just the cross issue.

  9. I see on the CME site that CAD and AUD futures trade some 60,000+ contracts a day. If spreads are tight, and with daytrading margin, they could be a better deal than FX.

I can't see these because I don't get the market data. We can access these from RealTick.
