Bush had not been in office long when 9/11 took place. Most of the blame for it should go to Clinton, who allowed al qaeda to go unchecked despite numerous attacks on US targets. Bush should get some minor blame, but it is more than offset by his record of no attacks in the remaining 7+ years of his presidency. Obmaa will be very lucky indeed to match that. The "scandals" your links list are mainly policy disagreements dressed up by partisan democrat hacks as scandals. Hiring and firing US Attorneys, for example. Now who knew it was political? Certainlynot the Clintons who fired every US Attorney when they took office, some of which were investigating democrat corruption. Bush was not a very good president in my estimation, but give him credit. He returned integrity and maturity to the White House after Clinton disgraced it with his non-stop scandals.

You must be referring to a different JFK than the one whose bootleger father bought him the presidency and who spent most of his time there screwing Marilyn Monroe and any other starlets he could get his hands on. The only reason there was a cuban missile crisis was that the russians saw him accurately as a weak playboy they could push around. The myth that he heroically saved our bacon is one spun by the same adoring media that have now foisted an unqualified Obama on us. As bad as your JFK revisionism/wishful thnking is, it is worse regarding Reagan. He took office with a country reeling from four years of nonstop setbacks at the hands of the Soviets due to the inept bungling of probably our weakest president, Jimmy Carter. The Soviets reached their apex under Carter, invading afhganistan and installing proxies in most of latin america and africa. Despite nonstop battles with a democrat congress determined to undermine him, Reagan freed the iranian hostages, liberated much of latin america, kicked the soviets out of afghanistan after bleeding them dry there, and forced them to realize they could not compete with his brand of leadership. He also reversed Carter's economic failures, again over the fervent opposition of a democrat congress, which did force a tax hike on him and forced useless domestic spending that drove up the deficit. I view Lincoln as someone forced into an impossible situation. I'm sure he meant well, but the fact is he authorized horrifying war crimes, including burning entire cities, farms, deliberate starvation and the organized rape of women and children. If the south had won the war, he and his top generals could and probably should have faced the gallows as war criminals. No doubt much of his magnanimous approach after the war was rooted in guilt over his crimes.
Clinton was one of the best presidents this country has had.Peace,Great economy,budget surpluses etc Bush had 8 months and numerous warnings about 9-11.After the elections and before a president takes power he gets full presidential security briefings .Thats almost a whole year bush had to prepare to defend the country. If we had been attacked in the first 3 months Clinton could share some of the blame,but it didn't.all the blame belongs to bush,and bush alone. Maybe if Bush hadn't spent more time on vacation then any other president he might have done a better job

Carter wasn't out invading sovereign nations,doubling the national debt,allowing terrorists to kill over 3000 Americans,shitting on half the Constitution and wiping his ass with the other half
Carter also didn't have a 9/11 event that killed over 3000 Americans on our own soil, nor did he inherit the dot com crisis from a previous president who refused to leave after he was impeached. He did, however, have the inflation rate at 15.5% and unemployment at 7% and the interest rate was 21% during his administration. It was an extremely difficult time. Carter has been called the worst president of the 20th century, and I agree.
You mean the way that John McCain said (18 times in 2008) that the "fundamental underpinnings of the Economy remain strong!" Too funny! The guy has only been in office for 3 weeks, and you already have him "failing miserably" . . . I guess Bush never "failed miserably" since he spent over 512 days on VACATION at the Crawford Ranch, Kennebunkport, Maine, and Camp David. Thanks for the good laugh. I really needed that today!
