  4. Yeah really, Who wants to hedge the dollar against the other major currencies? We're all in a race to the bottom.

Now hedging USD against a basket of everything including all the exotics nobody trades would be interesting.

    Hi Snakeeye,

The Dow Jones FXCM US Dollar Index basket can be traded during the normal forex trading hours from Sunday at 5:15pm ET until Friday at 4:00pm ET. It's available on all demo accounts, and it has been launched on live accounts through FXCM Asia in Hong Kong and on micro accounts through FXCM UK. We'll be rolling it out to more accounts in the weeks ahead as long as everything progresses without issue.

The margin requirement for each lot is $57.50 with FXCM UK ($200/lot with FXCM US) and each point is worth $1 per lot traded. More information on the index can be found here: http://www.fxcm.com/usdollar-dow-jones-fxcm-dollar-index-basket.jsp

    Hi SnakeEYE,

I'm happy to address or discuss any specific problems or issues a trader may have with their FXCM account or our service to make sure it is addressed and resolved as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, reviews such as "X company is a scam" exist in any industry whether they be from a real user or someone writing fake posts. In my opinion, these types of reviews provide very little benefit in terms of transparency on what issues they encountered. That's not to say a review may have a legitimate point. We are not perfect and mistakes do happen, but we will do our best to make sure our traders are happy. All I can do is laugh at a review such as "this firm FXCM as well as FX360 and DBFX are all bucketshops" when FX360 is not even a broker, and some reviews us just plain incorrect "They take a trade opposite to yours and fill you at bad moments." FXCM uses No Dealing Desk forex execution and every transaction is hedged one for one with our liquidity providers. Whether the trade ends up with a profit or loss doesn't provide any further impact on our bottom line. Our compensation is the pip mark-up on the spread which essentially acts as a commission.

Our account numbers compared to our competitors and the number of new traders that choose FXCM every month speaks for itself, as well as our proactive approach to reaching out to traders via the forums to help solve problems and answering questions.

    Margin Update for CHF/JPY, CHF/SEK, and CHF/NOK

If you're trading the CHF/JPY, CHF/SEK, or CHF/NOK, please be advised that the margin requirement for these CHF pairs is changing after the close of trading today due to changes in the value of the Swiss Franc.

2.0% margin requirements for 1K lot sizes will be:
(32 USD) for US Dollar denominated accounts.
(22 EUR) for Euro denominated accounts.
(20 GBP) for Pound denominated accounts.
(32 CAD) for Canadian Dollar denominated accounts.
(36 NZD) for New Zealand denominated accounts.
(2,400 JPY) for Japanese Yen denominated accounts.

0.5% margin requirements for 10K lot sizes will be:
(80 USD) for US Dollar denominated accounts.
(55 EUR) for Euro denominated accounts.
(50 GBP) for Pound denominated accounts.
(80 CAD) for Canadian Dollar denominated accounts.
(90 NZD) for New Zealand denominated accounts.
(6,000 JPY) for Japanese Yen denominated accounts.

Again, this only impacts 3 currency pairs: CHF/JPY, CHF/NOK, and CHF/SEK. Let me know if you have any questions.
