FX trader profitability - interesting statistics

I am not a FX trader, I just subscribe to IB's news releases as it keeps me updated what my broker is up to.

They just issued this yesterday, a comparison of FX trader profitability among several brokers:

Alpari advertises heavily on EliteTrader, or used to. Maybe their low profitability scores are because they're getting all ET traders.

 

thanks for the link. I suspect IB's higher deposit amounts (keeps out the riff-raffs) and lower spreads are a contributing factor.

 

The interesting thing about the customer profitability stats is it's persistency. Quarter in , quarter out , IB leads fx trader's profitability.Could it be attributable to better education? or capitalization of their customers since they have a $10000 minimum, spread tightness . ?

 

Interesting...should be the same for futures accounts, no ?
