Haven't had a chance yet. The only one that I generally trade out of the 4 you asked about is Euro FX. (Eur/USD futures). The GBP/USD trades narly in tandem with the Eur/USD. I would not get involved in the cash market as it is unregulated. I only trade currencies that are paired with USD. I would only trade regulated futures at the CME/Globex. By the way, I trade currency futures quite a bit more than ES. They trend much better as are not as much "reversion to the mean" markets. They are my trade if choice. I haven't kept this journal up too much in the past as I have been working on getting better in the short term ES market.

In addition to what coach said, I believe the indicators and divergences actually work better on the currency futures , especially Euro and Yen as the overnight trade is more active than ES.

One other note: For a trader in the UK, the Euro futures would be ideal. The morning session for you guys is active generally--not as volatile as US session, but there is enough movement to make money. You could use this instead of trying to premarket the ES. --There is also good movement between 6 PM EST and 1PM EST on Sunday nights after the weekend pause. This is not always, but if there is going to be movement during those hours, it is usually on Sunday. It does happen on other nights as well, but you could lose a lot of sleep waiting for the "monster".

I would look for 118-119 on the Euro futures and 168 to 170 on the Pound. These are versus the USD and are long term projections. I currently have a buy stop in at 1.2795 in Sep Euro fx. If stopped out, I will be looking for an opportunity to get short again. We'll see how the chart unfolds.

thanks OC and B1, I really haven't got a clue in FX ins and outs, so I'll read first, as I understand it you both trade CME Euro FX and perhaps you can advise on a broker, actually I think my broker does offer all CME futures. Looking at charts I am certain I can trade them via systems used for ES, I need to familiarise myself with the principles.

The bigger picture (Weekly Charts) is bearish for the Euro FX. I am taking a stance of selling on rallies.

Shorted Aussie futures (6A U6) at .7363 --Weekly and daily continue to show downside. There was a bit of rally on short term charts, but that appears to have reversed.

Hasn't quite shown the reversal yet. I am out at .7377 for a 14 pip loss. I'll continue to watch for intraday downside reversal.
