Since profit factor isn't published you might want to compute the 12 month pf from the data provided. (% wins * ave. win)/ (1-% wins * ave. loss).
Murray, Is that a typo or has your Trend Harmony system been able to make $51K so far in 2006 with only an 8% win rate?? It looks like all profits were only in one trade. What commodity was that? (CL?) This win rate appears to be atypical compared with previous years. What's going on? Richard
8% wins are on trades which have closed. The profits for this year are to market, including open profits. You can see that 20 of the 24 open position where profitable, normally trades last several months so most positions which exit quickly are due to being stopped out, with protective stop. You can see we have 12 open trades with more than $3500.00 in profits, which in the future will likely become winners. Trend following systems make money based on profits on a few trades, overcoming small losses.
