futures prop trading

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by maildigger, Jul 10, 2008.

  1. I have 3 years experience daytrading (first stocks, later US index futures)

I have a college degree in applied economics but further nothing

I want to trade futures for a living but not entirely on my own. I don't want to be a retail-trader. I'm looking for some kind of company/infrastructure to trade with. I want to trade on a % of return-base. I have money to invest in the partnership if necessarry.

What should I do? Who can I contact?

  2. "Prop" firms do not tend to exist anymore due to the hightened risk profile of trading.

However plenty of "Retail" firms still exist still- stump up a few grand and the company will give yourself a bit more added leverage etc...
