Does anybody have any positive experiences with Futures/Forex brokers (not IB or MB) offering FIX? I'm currently using one of the two mentioned brokers and the reliability of their FIX gateway is driving me to despair, so I'm casting around for other options.

im sure tt have a fix interface. try velocity. i dont use them, but they seem quite good and responsive. i dont think velocity do fx though - just fx futures.

  3. Advantage Futures for example. They have rather high margins for FX tho (through ebs and Hotspot).

Has anybody had any experience with Oanda's FIX offering?

    Hi Craig
your question is about connecting through FIX or trading FX?

    Connecting though FIX.

Most brokers will allow you to connect through FIX
They would install a FIX Trading Gateway to read with your proprietary frontend , which would allow you to trade seemlessly through their backend servers.

    MF Global ,Newedge etc.

  8. What difference does it make other than automation?

Most brokers will either have their own proprietary frontend, self developed or take a frontend off the shelf ,
    eg) TT, GL ,Patsystems etc
Hence with the option of offering FIX or API connection, clients have a choice of using their own frontend platform to trade markets offered by the brokers.
