Futures a wreck, oil spiking, asia down

  1. Hang on to your hats folks. This is going to be good.

  2. did you say futures are a "mess"???

  3. I wanted the report to be weak and then the Fed would be forced to introduce liquidity into the economy. Now there is no chance for a rate-cut. In fact, I believe they will raise rates in the next 3 months. Last meeting, there was one guy who wanted rates to be raised and the talk was very hawkish.

The market is in need of a 10% pullback to the 50 week moving average. If that does not happen, then there is a greater risk of a larger correction later on.

I would rather have the market correct right now and the Fed introduce more liquidity. It will be too late if done later then sooner.

ES futures are up. Dollar is tanking.

  5. I think oil will be back to $60 by year's end.

  6. Im going to attempt to sell into the rally and be in 30-50% cash by the end of the year with the rest in large cap value.

Nasdaq futures turning down at this point.

If your over 30 and dont like to gamble, I say take the safe approach. The signs of a recession, an overbought market and a Fed that wants to get rid of liquidity cant be any clearer.

Safety is the best policy at this point.

I have a few speculative plays in small cap energy...

all international markets up across the board....

futures looking healthy as usual. FED meets on tuesday, there will be no change in rates. Also have earnings from BBY, COST, GS and LEH. Then CPI on Friday which should be another market mover. Possibility of new highs on the dow this week = 100%
